Guns N' Roses Show Ends In Chaos!

Listen to the audience boo (above) Guns N' Roses after frontman Axl Rose is forced to use a megaphone to finish his set at Britain's Reading Festival Friday night.
The band's set was cut short when they began their performance an hour late despite warnings from festival organizers that they had a strict curfew.
Even though GNR played most of their set, their instruments were turned off at 11:30 PM sharp, which prompted Axl to sing through a megaphone to finish their hit song Paradise City.
Axl later posted this on his Twitter:
Bkstage at Reading. Tour's ON! Our apologies 4 any inconvenience. Peace!
Guns N' Roses still plans on hitting the stage at the Leeds festival. Hopefully, they'll arrive on time!

They should thank their lucky stars that people actually still care enough about them to pay money to watch them live, let's face it, Guns n' Roses haven't had a good song in decades, instead of behaving like divas, they should respect their audience and show up on time. Basic as that.

and trust me that wasn't any fucking chaos… their concert back in the late 80s early 90s.. cant remember what year .. when they were at the olympic stadium in montreal .. was chaos.. people died … everything was vandalized…

Wow, back in the day, Axl would have trashed the stage, thrown shit around, kicked over the drum kit and stormed off if the venue cut the sound. Then he would have quit the band, ranted and raved, and gone into seclusion for six months. He has always been such a crybaby. I guess he's mellowed in his old age.

I took my daughter to a concert , in L.A., Slash was opening for GNR, some time in the early '90's, and they arrived 3 hours!

We had driven up from Laguna Beach, and I knew she wanted to see them, no matter what…so, no going home early. I'm not really a fan….a couple of songs that'v become cult classics, that's about it.

Story is nearly accurate - it was at midnight that their power was cut, after being asked to finish up around 11.30. They were meant to play 9.30 - 11.30 but started over an hour late. Axl actually stormed offstage just before midnight in a mood cos the crowd wasn't worshipping him enough! He then came back on and tried to finish the set, only to find everything had been switched off. He didn't notice at first and was ranting with no clue we couldn't actually hear him, so when no one responded he got even more wound up!
The clip only shows his final rant just before leaving finally (where he threatens not to show up at the second leg in Leeds on Sunday) but if you look on YouTube there are other clips showing they tried to finish their set acoustically a few times through the megaphone. They also left the stage and went into the front pit to greet the fans (who were mostly booing and calling names) - They really did not make themselves popular last night!
oh and Axl's tweet happened before he played the set - he was apologising because someone hacked his account a few weeks ago and said their tour dates were cancelled. He never apologised for being late on stage and hasn't explained what his rant was about - which is why the fans are so irritated.

You know what, why can't a band start on fucking time? That's a good way of showing their appreciation to their fans. Especially when you're a has been bands. They did this to us when they toured Australia, around 2 hours late to the concert I went to, so for all the people standing on the concrete floor it was quite uncomfortable by the end of it all…

This is NOT Guns n' Roses but an old and fat Axl Rose with some employees who has become a failure. Slash on the other hand is still rocking and doing fine. Saw him recently in concert. He appeared right on time and played the roof off the building. He was great. I hope they never ever reunited as so many new Guns n' Roses would love to see. (Read 14/15 years old that still think this is "the most dangerous rock band in the world! Such a joke.) The old band was never pathetic just the singer was and still is. Yuk!

shit man I read the book by slash,and he said when he was with gnr they were always an hour two hours late because axyl is a premodonna sociopathic diva biotch from hell.the sociopath is my own oppinioun.Because in the book,the other band members would ask him why he was late.And hed try to rationalise that there was nothing wrong with him comming in a little late,or even not at all ! slash said that happened a lot too!

i was there! yeah they can play guitar really well big fucking deal. I didnt even go for them and had to stand an hour in the cold/rain! Muse were rumoured back up in case they didnt show.. would much rather have seen Muse, they're amazing!! Wish G&R hadnt shown up so i could see Muse, was right at the front as well would have been epic.. oh well
