Sandra Bullock's The Net Being Remade Into TV Series!

| Filed under: Film FlickersSandra Bullock

This is probably one of those rare cases where an updated version might actually work better than the original!

Producer Irwin Winkler is reportedly working on a TV series based off his 1995 film The Net!

He reveals:

"We thought it would make a great TV series. A lot of people said it was ahead of its time anyhow."

The original screenwriters, John Brancato and Michael Ferris, have also signed on to adapt the movie for television audiences!

Inneresting! We definitely think that the story might fit well with technology as it is now! A lot more possibilities with the story!

We doubt Sandy would come back though! But they should still try to get her for a cameo, anyway!

I'm almost positive this has been done before with the chick that played Sam on Melrose Place back in the late 90's/early 2000's

They already did this years ago, it had one of the Melrose Place actresses playing Sandra's part and it was filmed in Vancouver. It was also called "The Net"

This has already been done. It was a show other either Scifi or USA network (cant' remember which one) during the 90s.

I guess they want a more up to date version then?
