Jersey Shore Sued For Assault!
Mo' money, mo' problems!
A woman is suing MTV's parent company Viacom, 495 Productions, as well as the entire cast of Jersey Shore for assault and on racketeering charges.
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous and is only identified by her initials J.P., is claiming that four security guards threw her to the ground and caused bodily damage, including a permanent scar on her chin after she got in a verbal argument with our beloved Snooki.
The alleged incident happened back in September 2009 on the night Season One's episode "One Shot" was filmed when cast member Ronnie Ortiz-Magro got in a fight with a guy and knocked him out.
J.P. alleges that Viacom, MTV, and 495 Productions are "actively engaged in a criminal enterprise because it is making money off of advertising sales for a television show promoting criminal behavior."
This past Thursday, a paralegal attempted to serve court papers at the cast's Ocean Terrace House, however Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancala refused the papers. He eventually left the documents on the sidewalk with other cast and crew members watching.
If she wins the lawsuit, Jersey Shore could be taken off the air. Permanately.

Yet, you can call someone ike Kate Gosslen, Christina Aguillera or Jennifer Love Hewitt these awful names and they do not do a scintilla of what this little troll and her gang do weekly.. Shows how pathetic Perez or his staff is and what they view as beloved or hated..
I really hope I see the day when reality tv is over. Jersey Shore, real housewives, ect. are no more than celebrity wannabees that have no talents, but the media follow them around and report on everything they say and do. If the media stopped following them around we could just forget about them. But year after year the list of reality shows grow and we end up with more faux celebrities. I am just waiting for Snooki to land a role on Broadway in the Glass Menagerie. i am sure some marketing genius will think of it.

God nothing would make me happier then to see this crap taken off the air!!! It's a disgusting and vile "show'. As a parent of a soon to be teenager I fear for those children who do watch this. They are going to think it's OK to get drunk every single day, have sex with whomever they want (and as many as they want it appears) and get into fights. OH yeah that's something I want my child to do. What will "reality" producers come up with next… I fear the answer. Lets take this crap off the air now!!!

Am I wrong but I thought MTV stood for "Music Television?" So whatever happened to MTV being a station that showed music videos, music countdowns or ANYTHING containing music? Then The Real Housewives shows (especially NJ) should be taken off the air because it is apparent they are making money off of what is seen as criminal behavior and the producers are probably condoning and inciting this kind of behavior. The same thing with the Bad Girls Club and The Real World. These reality shows need to go away mostly because the cast members then think they are these huge stars.

The thing is that MTV can be held responsible for anything they do. The entire premise of the show is "Lets feed these no class white trash self entitled assholes as much booze as possible, drop them into public places and see what happens". Its only a matter of time before someone gets killed because of one of them and when it happens I hope that Viacom is taken to the bank for encouraging it.

I really hope this woman wins the suit. Jersey Shore has done nothing but create a bad rep for NJ. They aren't even from NJ!!! I can't even begin to explain how many people on my husband's side of the family see me exactly as the cast of Jersey Shore. They automatically think that since I'm from NJ, I act the same way the show portrays, which I don't. They are constantly trying to mimick how the cast talks and are always telling me to go "Get my bronze on" so that later I can "Get my drink on and start a fight." Oh, and we can't forget about how my hair isn't "poofed" enough. It's horrible. They're so mean to me, because of Jersey Shore and the fact that I'm from NJ. My husband and I recently moved and everyone I've met brought up Jersey Shore when they find out I'm from NJ and repeatedly say "fist pump". It's annoying! Honestly, this show is offensive. It's done nothing for New Jersey. It's just made us look like a bunch of violent drunks and now Miami is getting hit with all this show's bullshit. If they want to act like assholes, they should do it on their own turf. I like NJ. I'm proud to be from NJ, but thanks to this show I'm seen as exactly what the cast is: trash.

If they think it's all right to "get drunk every single day, have sex with whomever they want (and as many as they want it appears) and get into fights" then they either don't have a conscious, are dependent, and follow the crowd, just plainly act stupid and without premeditated thought, or have been taught inadequately by their parent(s), or their parents are giving then the freedom to even attempt such acts. I can see from your comment that you are a parent. Maybe if you are so worried about a show influencing them to such a huge extent, then you should show a little more tough love toward your kid(s). A certain "vile" show should not be banned just because of certain behaviors displayed. If you saw someone jump off a bridge, would you automatically repeat what they did? Be you own person for crying out loud!
