Reports have surfaced that Madonna would like Lady Gaga to be the opening act on her world tour next year!
"Madonna is absolutely obsessed with Gaga," claims a source. "She thinks she is the most cutting-edge star to come out of pop in ages and desperately wants to work with her. Basically Gaga can name her price."

I think a collaboration would be a good idea for both. Thirty years ago, Barbra Streisand & Donna Summer, two of the biggest divas at the time, recorded "No More Tears" and it was a huge hit, and no one gave a shit about which artist sold more than the other. Madonna's last tour was at STADIUMS people, not arenas for the most part. Gaga can't touch her. Gaga made a couple albums that are a little campy. The jury is out on what she can accomplish. Madonna in her third decade put out some brilliant music. Few artists/bands can do that.

Re: jp1988 – Fair enough. I liked 'Music', but the others barely registered with me. No, I don't turn it on much anymore, but go to other media sources. I just don't 'get' Madonna; the hair never goes up on the back of my neck with her tunes, but lots of people seemed to like her, so what I think doesn't matter here or there. I thought she was ballsy when she was starting out, in a good way. She's accomplished a lot. What I guess I'm saying is that it's an age old case of out with the old and in with the new, as it always was and will be, and in all fields of endeavor. Look at Perez's yikes post about who was hot 10 years ago and is 'not' now.
It's always this diva made more, sold more than this diva. Who cares? If the respective fans can't agree that this COULD be a hot ticket, what makes you think these two would?
