GaGa Tweet Upsets Canadian City Officials!
We LOVE it!
A few nights ago, Lady GaGa made a bit of stir after her performance in Edmonton, Canadialand when she tweeted this photo (above) of an Oil Country sign with a HIGHlariously key letter missing - along with the message "holy mother of laughter."
However, city officials are now displeased with the pop star because they think she has soiled the city's image!
Mayor Stephen Mandel says:
"Some things are disgusting and you shouldn't have to say they're disgusting. I think it demeans them more than anything else."
And reportedly local TV stations won't air the pic!
Ha! Too bad it's plastered all over the internet for the world to see!
We personally don't see what the big deal is! What happened to the HIGHlarity of wordplay, people?!
We're sure she didn't mean for anyone to take it personally!

I was at the concert in Edmonton and when I saw this pic, I couldn't stop laughing!! It is hilarious! I am embarassed that our mayor took this opportunity to try and get Edmonton into the news by trashing the biggest pop star in the world. It really makes us look stupid and childish! I hope that this doesn't hurt our chance to get another concert!!

Haha. I was joking when I said "Alberta isn't part of *real* Canada". That’s just what Alberta thinks about the rest of the country, much like southern Americans. The idea that the oil and right-wingers are *real Canada/America* was what I was poking fun of.
A lot of comments have proven my point: "We have oil!” “You wouldn't be anywhere without us! Ontario/BC is useless!" blah, blah, blah. Just go get a slogan that says "No one messes with Alberta!" and threaten to break off into your own country, like the Texans that you are… unlike Quebec, the majority of Canadians don't care much for Alberta. We want *alternative* planet friendly ways, thanks. Not oil. Plus, for the most part, Canada hardly makes profit or owns any of our own oil anyway. It’s all owned by fucking Americans, and then, we have to buy our OWN oil back from them for 80% more than the price we gave them. What bullshit.
