And we assume it's symbolic!
When President Barack Obama addresses the nation on Tuesday, the Oval Office will have been treated to a makeover.
The legendary room got new wallpaper, a new rug, new sofas, lamps and a coffee table.
The Scott Group donated an an oval-shaped wheat, cream and blue rug, who also made one for Bill Clinton.
The following quotes are embroidered on the carpet:
"GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE" - Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address
"NO PROBLEM OF HUMAN DESTINY IS BEYOND HUMAN BEINGS" - JFK's American University speech on June 10, 1963
"THE WELFARE OF EACH OF US IS DEPENDENT FUNDAMENTALLY ON THE WELFARE OF ALL OF US" - Teddy Roosevelt on Sept. 7, 1903.
"THE ONLY THING WE HAVE TO FEAR IS FEAR ITSELF" - FDR's inaugural speech.
"THE ARC OF THE MORAL UNIVERSE IS LONG, BUT IT BENDS TOWARD JUSTICE" - MLK's address at the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.
The White house would only admit that the funds spent on the project were "in line with the amount spent by Presidents Clinton and George W. Bush on the redesigns of their Oval Office." Funds will be taken from Obama's inaugural committee and the nonprofit White House Historical Association.
And Mr. President finally has a new brown-leather chair behind his desk.
Sounds amazing! Let's get to work!
