i really don't think "good riddance" is the most appropriate thing to say about a man who has just died, regardless of what he did. he was a mentally unstable man and its sad that this has happened. perhaps condolences to his family might be more respectful?

Usually I agree with your opinions on this site, including that violence is VERY VERY wrong, but to say good riddance to anyone's death is completely hypocritical of that belief. Just like many of the people who have taken up arms in public places, he was mentally ill, and it is that attitude towards the mentally ill that causes these people to feel out-casted and unable to learn the rationalizations that prevent future violence. If a person who has trouble with their own recognizance sees that the mentally ill are viewed by others as better off dead than understood, the instability becomes overpowering and violence occurs. THIS CAN BE PREVENTED!!!! Just like we should not have ignorance against homosexuals for being BORN THAT WAY, we shouldn't forget our tolerance for others born a way that can have little to no impact on the accepting people around them like those with mental illness. PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh pft, I can't believe how far out of their way people will go to disagree with Perez. If he had said "he's dead, how tragic " everyone would be on here saying "he got what he deserved! good riddance!". Perez is right. This guy took a gun and explosives and threatened to kill people. He scared them and their friends/families and might have caused psychological harm by putting them in such a situation. Even if the guy was mentally unhealthy, he still would have known what he was doing was wrong. Perez is right, the guy got what he deserved. He wouldn't be dead if he didn't deserve it.

There is nothing good about somebody dying in any way shape or form. Weren't YOU the one touting that violence is NEVER the answer???!!! Even though he shouldn't have done what he did, he shouldn't have been killed if at all possible (and I haven't read the exact circumstances under which they shot him yet).

Either way, the guy is right. Having multiples on purpose is a danger to your health and a drain on societies resources. Like someone else said, yes he went about it in the wrong way, but in a society where anyone can become famous just for writing on the internet, dancing on you tube and generally acting like a douche bag fool on the reality shows we promote, this guy was actually more RIGHT than most ignorant jackasses realize.
