Michael Douglas Bravely Fighting Cancer, Copes With Treatment

After a cancerous tumor was found at the base of his tongue, Michael Douglas has been undergoing radiation and chemotherapy to combat the disease.
"It's a fight," he said "It really knocks you out."
The once tireless actor has been extremely tired and the effects are evident to his wife and children.
"The hardest part is seeing his fatigue, because Michael is never tired," said his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones. "Daddy sat them down and told them he has cancer now…if there's anything Michael has, it's strength."
Stay strong, honey. We wish you nothing but the best.

Conan Announces Name Of New Show!

Selfish rich guy.
Traded in his long term wife, Diandra Douglas, for a younger model. Shipped his kids off to boarding schools (on the East coast, while he lived on the West coast)so he could ignore them more easily. Any wonder they both became drug abusers?
But now he's ready to be a daddy–more like a grandaddy–to the new kids he sired with CZJ. Puh-lease.
at one point i thought these two were an odd couple…….now I admire their love and compassion for each other.
I do hope he comes through okay. But why must celebrities use their personal problems to get press?? From people magazine to David Letterman.
First dibs on his wife!!!
Good luck to Michael! The lesson here is Don't Smoke! Throat cancer is horrid!
Thank Gawd his father's mind is gone to have to see this; so is his son's mind (Cameron)!
Quit tossing the word "brave" around. Bravery has nothing to do with it. He has cancer. Treat it or die. Let him fight a fire, patrol the mean streets, or enlist in service to the country and THEN you can call him brave. Until that, he's just some rich celebrity undergoing cancer treatment famously.
I saw him on the Letterman show and I cried when he hugs David. Micheal is a wonderful guy and I hope he will be fine.
Re: caroaber – shut up you moron, you dont know anything about his personal life.
Re: alemeh2 – Unfortunately, I do. So who's the moron? Heed your own advice.
Re: caroaber – you know what?
Where you there while he was married to Diandra?
My grandfather died of throat cancer 6 years ago this christmas. He was once this happy fat guy who would steal my food and joke around with me and take me shopping. I didn't even recognize him when he died, he was bone thin and couldn't even stand be around his wife, children or his favourite grand daughter, and there were moments in his fight that were truly terrifying. I wish you all the luck in the world Michael, i may not be a fan, but you are still human and cancer is still the hardest thing to battle. Good luck!
I hope he gets better! I admire him and his work! He's amazing =) Stay strong.
Love this guy. Have always enjoyed his movies. I have never seen him have an attitude or heard anything bad about him. Wishing all best and hoping for a complete recovery. What a handsome guy!!!!!!!!!
Hope his treatment goes well.
