Jersey Shore Brings Best Ratings To MTV In 3 Years!

Thanks to Jersey Shore, MTV is #1…by far!

MTV had the summer’s #1 television series, with 5.8 million viewers tuning in to watch Snooki and company.

Here are some details about Jersey Shore’s success:

"Summer's #1 series with P12-34 – across all TV. #1 each week it aired.”

"Delivered a series high 5.5 P12-34 rating and a series high 5.8 million viewers on August 26.”

"Top five cable telecasts of the year among P12-34.”

Other MTV shows that helped the network achieve their best ratings in 3 years were Teen Mom as the #3 cable series of the summer, and the docu-series If You Really Knew Me, which had 1.8 million viewers.

Ratings were also up for established MTV series, including The Hills and The Real World: New Orleans.

Keep it up, Jersey Shore! Before we know it, Snooki, J-Woww, and The Situation will be sitting in board meetings, making company-wide decisions with Viacom CEO Sumner Redstone. Definitely an ~~absolutely horrifying~~ inneresting thought.

In answer to your question, NO, I dont think so. Our society is soo ADD that we will soon get bored of them and want something even more trashy! I give JS one maybe two more seasons.

it's like a trainwreck you just can't stop watching..
it is for sure my guilty pleasure..
I have gotten everyone hooked..
it's wierd because I would never admit at work that i watch it but outside we all talk about it..
I bet a lot of the haters on here are closet fist pumpers lol
