scariest thing i have ever been through. was nearly crushed by a chimney that fell through a window onto my bed. felt like it was never going to end

    3. 3

this is horrible and it keeps happening my prayers are with them, and perez dont try to act like a caring person we all know its fake but since one of your writers prob wrote this its okay i guess.

    4. 4

My son texted me from christchurch this morning to say;"hahaha wow… its a glorious day and we're snoozing in the sun"
      Students, huh.

Re: Yeistarrstruck – Wow you really know how to keep the spirits up.

    6. 6

      WHOOOOP! GO NZ

    7. 7

      1. As if you care.
      2. You actually have a "Sad Sad" category that you file under? That is Pathetic Pathetic.
      3. "Vibes" - not really the best word to use considering the circumstances.

    8. 8

Nobody died, no reports of heart attacks even. Wake me up if/when they start using bulldozers to bury thousands of bodies into mass graves

    9. 9

      thanks

    10. 10

Thank god no one was seriously hurt. Only two people in intensive care. Was a pretty scary experience.

    11. 11

um shut up "shoewhore" people have been injured and thousands have been left homeless. nobodys pretending it's worse than the haiti earthquake, doesn't mean it isn't sad in its own way. it's the biggest earthquake i've ever felt and I'm all the way down in dunedin, scary stuff.

    12. 12

shit I didn't even know they had an earthquake. oh well…

    13. 13

=[ Goodness! Hope ppl are okay!

    14. 14

Re: ShoeWhore – So what if no one died, theres still people injured, buildings collasped everywhere not to mention the aftershocks we are still getting !

    15. 15

Its scarey in the middle of a earthquake at 4.30am and your struggling against the force to get to your child

    16. 16

      'Vibes?' *rolls eyes*

    17. 17

I don't really care bout the ppl that give you shit perez…deep down your a nice buy…this is your job and you do it well. People needa get the fuck over it and if they don't like some of the nasty things you say on ur site they needa fuck off and watch ET or E! or something, this site pretty much just says all the shit other gossip sites are too afraid to come out and say. I don't live in Christchurch but I've got relatives there that were scared out of their fucken minds when the earthquake hit so thanks for your support perez!! we really appreciate it over here in little old nz!!

    18. 18

And i managed to sleep through the whole thing. I was a bit guttered

    19. 19

Awful earthquake? so there are good earth quakes? douche bag

    20. 20

Re: cjm – must be santa

    21. 21

Thinking of You? what $$$$ have you ever given to ANY charity, you make it seem like that to your ahem followers but if anyone goes down to city hall and looks at charity contributions by you they will see Nill YOU aaaswipe

    22. 22

My friends are injured and without homes and people are still trapped. no one knows the full extent of the damage yet its only just been 12 hours. in no way should people be comparing this to Haiti. New Zealand is a reasonably wealthy country and has good construction codes to be ready for events like this earthquake. this is scary for everyone involved.

    23. 23

Re: stellagranos – what is sad sad is Mario I will be front and centre when this douche bag's site goes under only a matter of time according to many sources ads have pulled out, don't trust him, he's slow….

      THOUGHTS?????

    24. 24

Thanks for thinking of lil ol' NZ. Though I'm in the North Island, have many friends in Christchurch who've had a horrible day. Cheers Perez

    25. 25

Thanks but we are all goodz. We rode the earthquake out like it was nothing, only a hefty insurance bill, no fatalities, a few injuries and some logistical nightmares for power and water. We know how to build our buildings and we take care of our own.

    26. 26

Thanks for nice post Perez. Whole experience was pretty scary, even worse than the violent rocking in the pitch black was the loud roaring sound, like the earth was seriously angry. My dog has followed me round all day wanting cuddles everytime an aftershock hits.

    27. 27

Love you perez!thanks for ur support.

I hope everyone is ok down there! So so lucky no one died, I still can't process it.. My friend was almost crushed by a chimney that fell through the roof of their flat! So surreal…

    29. 29

Geez a lot of haters… Thanks for your thoughts perez it truly is very comforting and touching that you took the time to reach out to nz! Thanfully my family was in Auckland far enough up north not to feel it but my grandma rang us in tears 5am this morning it was really bad and very scary apparently. Thankfully despite being 7.1 most buildings built well enough to withstand it. Luv ya Perez!

    30. 30

Re: ShoeWhore – the only reason noone died was because the earthquake happened at 4:35am. It is an absolute miracle noone died considering the extensive damage thousands of homes received. Had this have happened in the middle of the day there would almost certainly have been deaths from falling buildings. Also, there were plenty of heart attacks reported due to the stress on people of the earthquake. If you are a New Zealander you're an insult to our people for not knowing how seriously this has affected thousands of kiwis.

    31. 31

Re: ShoeWhore – your an asswipe.

    32. 32

      Re: ShoeWhore – umm, you're a dick.

My thoughts are with new zealanders. And to the haters what a bunch of hypocrites, because it happened to Haiti then yes poor them, because it happened in New Zealand, then it doesn't matter. At the end of the day everyone is human and so each deserve our sympathy.

    34. 34

Re: ShoeWhore – What a dumb thing to say, even if nobody was killed there is still tons and tons of damage. It's a financial burden on lots of people now I'm sure. Yes things can be replaced but it doesn't mean it's easy to lose your house/car/stuff. Plus everyone down there is probably kind of in shock right now. A caring attitude goes a long way. Well wishes to you all in NZ from me in the US.

    35. 35

Thanks for the support everyone, The city is in a bit of a shambles. They reckon 20% of homes are inhabitable.
Basically just waiting out the aftershocks for the morning so we can go salvage what we can of what's left.
Hope the water comes back on. Thank god my power isn't cut. A lot of other peoples is.

    36. 36

Kiwis are very resiilent and indpendent.Stay strong and all the best. You have an awesome country!

    37. 37

you never mentioned the pakistan floods….

    38. 38

      Re: ShoeWhore
How dare you! Nobody has died YET but after shocksare still occuring - thousands of people are without homes, people have lost their livelihoods and they are still unsure of the true extent of the damage, the cost is going to run in to the billions to repair.
And if that wasn't enough we are now going to get gale force winds and stormy weather.

    39. 39

Love to everyone in the South Island from this North Islander. Stay strong - all of NZ will pitch in to get you back to security as soon as possible.

    40. 40

Got to hand it to the South Islanders they are one resilient bunch of people. Scary thing about this people is no-one EVER expected an earthquake to occur like this in CHCH. Its the beginning of a whole new fault line which is rather scary if you think about it. We're in Auckland which has a 'low risk' quality to it and a F8ckload of volcanoes so i think the people are taking or civil defence programme a lot more seriously now.

Whether Perez is sincere or not there are a lot of scared people (and pets by the sounds of it) who will appreciate the world thinking of them.

    41. 41

It was pretty fucking scary… my bed was rolling around the room and stuff feel everywhere. The chimney fell off and the roof broke a bit in the kitchen. Damn earthquakes…. not fun at all.

Re: ShoeWhore – I'm up in Canada right now, and there was plenty of heartfelt concern for their fellow Kiwis; but none from you, so what the double H is wrong with YOU? You're just a singular moron who should remove their flag from your AV because you've done nothing but give your country a lousy name. Not pne I've met have been like you. Someone should tie you upside down and face up on to the business end of a pissed off Moose. Eh.

    43. 43

YES MOST of nz is on a fault line when i lived there we had earthquakes all the time but apparantly this one was a real doosy and scary… godbless the little kiwis under the bricks actually noone even died did they??

    44. 44

:( so thankful I'm out of the country but so worried for my friends and family. I can't even imagine what it must have been like and how scary it still is with all the aftershocks. Hope all you chch folk are doing ok.

    45. 45

I have cousins in NZ, thankfully they were unharmed. But we had a few tense /worrying hours while we tried to get through to them.

    46. 46

Ok, FYI to all the haters who are saying its not as bad as the Hati one: true, but the reason there weren't as many deaths and injuries as the Hati one is JUST because our buildings aren't as crappy. It was actually bigger on the richter scale than the Hati one so it was FREAKING SCARY! Schools have been closed until further notice, we can't drink water, we don't have power and we're running out of food in the supermarkets. Not to mention the huge 5.0 aftershocks that have been hitting every half hour for the past few days!

      In conclusion: Fuck you.

    47. 47

Thanks Perez -you are awesome. It will probably be on the evening news that you did a shout out to lil' ol New Zealand.
