Though he is still kicking David Letterman's ass big time, Jay Leno is severely lacking in viewers ages 18-49.
Sources are reporting that Jay hosted the lowest-rated The Tonight Show ever this summer, as he has 23% less viewers in that key demo compared to Conan O'Brien.
Sucks to be you.
Wonder if NBC still wakes up kicking themselves on this one?

Good! I hate Jay Leno. He's the least funny person on the planet! And he's so ugly I can't believe anyone would put him on TV and expect to make money.

Um, no. Since the first week he was back at 11:30 he has kicked Letterman's ass. What more could they ask? We get it - you don't like the guy. Let it go.
Conan was not funny or successful on NBC, and he won't be either on that other channel. Regardless if he is lacking in a certain demographic age, he is still kicking some major ass in ratings…I call that a success.

Conan has less viewers. They might of been younger but it was less. Conan is a terrible interviewer Jay is not better. The problem with Conan he always twitching like a puppet with a drug problem. NBC did the correct thing by getting rid of Conan Besides Conan drew first blood by forcing Jay out of the "Tonight Show". Jay never wanted to leave, I posted that Conan would fail years ago. Conan is too weird for most people. Why doyou think FOX did not want him ?

You do realize it's primarily people over the age of 50 who watch Late Night talk shows. Why do you think Conan couldn't bring in the viewers. I'd say Leno is doing just fine. It's Conan who will suffer again once he gets over his first week where people will probably tune in. Then they'll tune out.
Maybe he'll turn it over to Jimmy Fallon and then take it back

Congrats to Leno. Read the article again. That's a 12% improvement in total audience compared with O'Brien, and even with the reduced rating in the 18 - 49's, Leno is back to beating his top rival, CBS' "Late Show With David Letterman," by a healthy 22% in both metrics. Those over 49 boomers are a huge pile of people with buying power.
For the life of me, I can't understand people who judge others by the way they look. Jay Leno may not be the best looking man in the world, but his comedy is current, fresh and 90% of the time very funny. I predict that Jimmy Fallon will replace Leno in the future…………Fallon is absolutely great!!!
