MTV's Jersey Shore is still smashing records, making last week's episode the highest-rated telecast in the network's demo 12-34 in EIGHT YEARS!!

This is crazy!!

A total of 6.5 million viewers tuned in to see Jwoww and Sammi's cat fight! Come on, who WASN'T tuning in to watch that??

So, what do U think? Will Jersey Shore come back for a Season 4?? Will MTV ever see a hit show like this again??

Like it or not, they capture the Zeitgeist and these kids are relatable to a large section of the viewing public.
My husband's cousin does that ridiculous stuff with hair gel, just like Pauly D. I am from NYC, and I've met folks like them. And though we may joke about them, there's affection there, too.
They are not like the idle, rich broads of the Real Housewives franchise. These are youngsters with their whole lives ahead of them .

Such a guilty pleasure of mine. Not since the original Real World have I actually watched something regularly on Mtv that wasn't music videos. It's absolutely disgusting how much I root for that lil Snooki and want to see Mike get his ass handed to him.

With all the overexposure, its generated a curiousity factor in those who wouldnt otherwise watch something like this. Now its gone from cult following to the must see freak show. This is probably its peak. I just hope they dont have Snooki lose weight. Shes a role model for millions of dim, fat, slobs everywhere.

Glad MTV is paying them 30k per episode. These shows are cheap to produce, and if this is a huge hit, they deserve the $$$. I watch this, but I can't tell you why?
