John Travolta Drops Extortion Charges!
What's this all about???
This morning, the charges against Tarino Lightbourne and Pleasant Bridgewater, the two men who were allegedly trying to get millions from John Travolta soon after the tragic death of his son Jett, were dropped.
A judge in the Bahamas complied with the request of John himself to free the men of all extortion charges. Sources say that plea baragins for the defendants were in the works for serveral weeks, but the news traveling from the islands say that case has just been closed.
But why John? Why would you let these heartless a-holes walk away free and clear? We're all for moving on and rebuilding a life, but these guys should pay for the pain they have caused you! What gives???
UPDATE: Chief Counsel in the Office of the Attorney General, Neil Braithwaite, released this statement outside the courthouse in the Bahamas shortly after the charges were dropped:
"The defendants have been discharged. Mr. Travolta is no longer interested in pursuing the matter because it has caused his family great emotional distress."

I agree with his decision. A long trial far away form home is taxing, and that was a dark time in his life before. His responsibility is to his family and the health and well-being of Kelly while pregnant. The Bahamas are corrupt anyway, so why bother.

I hate that you think that just because YOU don't agree with something that someone is doing, it's wrong or bad. Who gives a shit what YOU think he should do. He's doing what HE thinks is BEST for HIS FAMILY! You're NOT his family so his decisions shouldn't be any of YOUR concern.
Why? Because it is time to let it go and stop reliving it. It is time to enjoy life again. To stop associating memories of Jet with pain and instead embrace what he was and the joy he brought to their lives instead of it being clouded by making people pay. YES, those men caused him heartache…but maybe he and his wife have had enough, maybe they know that in order to move on, they have to finally just let it all go. Karma will take care of the guys one way or another.
So what happens when these people go and do it to the next person. I get the whole moving on thing etc. Their family has been through such heart break, but let's hope there isn't a next family this happens to.

He probably just wants to move on with his life with his new baby son. Court cases can drag on and on and on, and perhaps he forgave them and felt like they had been punished enough.
Of cours he's dropped the charges. If it had gone ahead all of john's secrets would come spilling out and that would make him and his cult look bad. Infact i think the whole thing was a rouse in the first place in an attempt to distract from the fact that john, Kelly and their cult are responsible for this childs death. He was left alone for 10 hours. He was autistic which John FINALLY had to admit to police after his death. He had denied this all Jetts life because his cult claims Autism doesn't exixt!!! They did NOT medicate him for his seizures. This could have all been prevented but John cares about his cult more than his son!
