The Devil Doesn't Like Drive-Ins!

Coincidence or a sign of Satan???

Yesterday, a drive-in movie theater in Oklahoma burned to the ground, for no apparent reason! Officials are still looking into what could have started the blaze, but we can't help but consider the possibility that this might be the work of the devil!

After all, the theater was preparing for a showing of The Last Exorcism. Perhaps the evil guardian to hell didn't like that his movie wasn't playing in 3D, so he got a little rough!

Investigators were unwilling to comment on whether they thought Satan had a hand in this, though we imagine he is still on the short list of suspects.

Spooky, huh?

  3. 3

Yeah the admiral twin drive was a historical land mark and it burned down on September 3rd. It was also the drive in that "The Outsiders" was filmed. They are rasing money to rebuild so either help or don't be an ass perez!

  4. 4

The Admiral Twin Drive was a historical land mark and burned down on SEPTEMBER 3rd, not yesterday. It was also the Drive that "The Outsider's" was filmed at. They are raising money to help rebuild it. So either help out or quit being an ass perez!!

  5. 5

  14. 14

sounds more like a fanatical christian

  15. 15

    Re: cherryONtop927 – Totally agree

  16. 16

Re: cherryONtop927 – Perez is a big guy, he can dish it and he can take it.

    Believe in HIM…lol

  18. 18

Yesterday? Wow, you're such a hack, dude.

  19. 19

This is getting really old and sad….the Admiral Twin burned down several days ago…why are you posting week old news?

  20. 20

I'm done. Seriously, I'm deleting this idiotic site from my "favorites" folder. It stopped being amongst my favorites, a couple of years ago… and now I'm embarrassed to even visit this site.

I live in Tulsa where the famous Admiral Twin Drive In burned, and they are still investigating this right now. The Screens were 60 years old and a number of things could of happened. From an electrical fire to arson for all we know. But to say the devil may have had a part in that, is pretty stupid to say. Because the drive in has shown alot of satanic related movies on it. Just get your facts straight before you talk about something you don't know anything about.

  22. 22

I can't believe you have stooped this low Perez. Im from Tulsa, and how dare you blog about something you have no idea about. They are still investigating the fire, and it could have been anything from an electrical fire to arson. So when you feel the need to blog about something or someone, blog about your precious celebs you know so much about and leave the real news to the real people who know what there talking about. Oh and from the great city of Tulsa, slap yourself in the face for saying something that stupid.

  23. 23

It was probably some crazy religious nuts! I swear some people take religion way to seriously. Anyway, I saw this show and from a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 5, it wasn't that great the Exorcist was much better.

  24. 24

    scary lol

  25. 25

    the movie is pure shit

  26. 26

Perez, you have no way of knowing, but the Admiral Twin drive-in was a Tulsa icon and a much-loved one at that. You are only commenting on it because it happened in Oklahoma which is considered the belt-buckle of the Bible Belt and you are using this unhappy event to try to get a chuckle at our expense. Well, there are a few of us (very few, unfortunately) who aren't Bible-blathering fanatics and the loss of this particular 60 year old land mark is heart-breaking. You want to make fun of conservatives and Bible hypocrites? Just wait a few minutes and they'll give you something you can get a legitimate laugh out of.

  27. 27

This movie i repeat is SOOOOOO bad. It was actually funny the acting was brutal and my friend and i actually left laughing our asses off. Dont waste your money! Go see the original…. Bad bad bad!!!

  28. 28

Oh my! Call in the Ghost Hunters! (yawn)

  29. 29

Fuck those people, some stupid fucking dickhead from the church probably burned it down…Who the fuck goes to drive-ins any ways…Hillbilly much?

  30. @v@ says – reply to this

    30

The connection is nebulous at best, but whatever does it for you.

  31. 31

Seriously, Perez? Really? This is the absolutely DUMBEST story you've ever posted. The devil burnt down a drive-in theatre in Oklahoma? Seriously, first of all grow the fuck up. Secondly, what are we in the 1940s? What sort of rubbish is that? Chances are it was electrical or old wiring as the REAL cause of this alledged "devilish" fire you speak of.

  32. 32

Had another thought….if it had been some obscure New York building where Bob Dylan once took a shit that had burned down or a San Francisco bar where Harvey Milk had a drink in that collapsed, you (and people like you) would be screaming for the FBI and having fund-raisers like "Restore the Memorial Shit House" or "Save the Bar."….2 thoughts in one day….I better dial down the meds.

  33. 33

i don't live in oklahoma, and i don't know anything about this place. i'm sorry you guys lost a landmark but you people are being wayyyy too overly sensitive. i don't think he means any disrespect when he's saying any of this. i think he's just trying to be funny, since exorcisms happen when someone is possessed by demons. duh. i thought it was clever.

    love you, perez

  34. 34

Re: ilovedancemusik – First of all most people who do live in Oklahoma are not hillbillies, hillbillies live in the hills of Arkansas. That drive in was one of the last drive ins in the United States, and several great films shot scenes there. Just for saying that psycho babble you should light yourself on fire

  35. 35

Re: RunningOnEmpty – Don't know about Oklahoma? Here's a crash course "duh": We are ranked the 5th fattest state in the U.S.-48th in public schooling-3rd in most out of wedlock pregnancies-the only state where John McCain carried every single county…I could go on and on. Don't you think that there is more than enough material available right here to get a giggle or two without reaching so far as to drag in a very sad incident and try to tie it to "satan" and pass it off as funny? On a positive note, we are very famous for our college football program for the past 60 years or so. Being a hick, fly over state is no fun; so take THAT into consideration.

  36. 36

    Yeah spooky…but you're spookier, Mario!
Go find a REAL job already!!!

  37. 37

Re: cherryONtop927 – This is a BLOG, not a Hallmark greeting card. People can say what they want and this ridiculous story is a good example of why they should.

  38. 38

I am from Virginia (named after the Virgin Queen!) and going to the drive-in was a big part of my childhood. I remember driving home afterwards and listening to my parents talk about the movie we had just seen. It was cheap entertainment and we would pile into our car that had no air conditioning and just have fun. That drive-in on Route 1 is long gone now but I really miss it.

  39. ohboy says – reply to this

    39

Or, more likely, since it's Oklahoma, some weird religious nut felt it was better to burn the place to the ground rather than see the movie splashed for everyone to see.

  40. ohboy says – reply to this

    40

PS anyone else think it's amusing that a bunch of people from Oklahoma suddenly think Perez is the scum of the earth for commenting on the fire? Little bit choosy in our judgments, aren't we?

  41. 41

These people should be lucky it burned down before they had to sit through this shit of a movie.

  42. 42

    what a ridiculous suggestion!

  43. 43

Re: ohboy – WE aren't judging Perez and WE aren't hating on the guy. His connecting the loss of a beloved landmark with a really sucky devil movie was a cheap shot, period. Do you get it now?! And by the way, I'm going to take this comment as a bewildered and grateful "thank you" to all the people from around the U.S. and all the folks from Europe and China who have sent in money to rebuild the Admiral Twin back exactly as it was. These are had economic times and you guys have generous hearts and WE all thank you.–Love

  44. 44

The Admiral Twin Drive-in is one of Tulsa's historic landmarks and our own little piece of Hollywood history. Portions of The Outsiders was filmed there.

The community has come together and we are raising funds to rebuild. Hopefully some of the people in Hollywood who have fond memories of the place would like to help out.
