Does The JetBlue Diva Need Psychiatric Help??

| Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & TrueLegal Matters

The working man's current hero, JetBlue diva Steven Slater, is facing some pretty serious jail time for what many are calling a FABOOSH declaration of resignation, but what the law is calling reckless endangerment.

However, sources claim that Slater is ready to seek psychiatric help as part of a plea bargain!

Slater's lawyer and the DA have met to sort out a deal before his hearing, and if they can agree to a lesser sentence, Slater will allegedly admit himself into a mental health program!

Probably a smart move either way, to be completely honest! We're sure there's some issues he needs to sort out!

We hope you guys can work out a decent deal, though! Seven years behind bars for what happened is RIDICULOUS!

What do U think?? How should the JetBlue diva be sentenced??

7 years in a prison full of men, that would be a present for him not a punishment. He does deserve jail time though

This is stupid! Reckless endangerment?! Sure it was a little over the top and if he hadn't quit, he should've gotten fired for it, but jail time is just stupid! Allowing Lindsey Lohan to drive is reckless endangerment! Give HER 7 years!

  3. 3

Yes. Since he could have killed someone on the ground, I guess prison is much too hard on that workingman's hero.

    How twisted can you get?

  4. 4

I think this bitter queen should do the same time anyone else would do for deploying emergency equipment unnecessarily! He is no hero.

Who the F*@k gave him the title as "The Working Man's Hero???? As for the seven years, if you do the crime be prepared to do the time…so yes he should be sentenced, he used his 15 minutes of fame to the max….so tell us Mario how is it RIDICULOUS for what this douche did to not warrent the time???? R u know an attorney or legal rights expert???? You got it right Curiosred

Although his act was halarious and made everyone cheer, what he did was still wrong. My mom is a flight attendant and what he did cost the company and its consumers a lot of money.. millions to be exact… deploying the slide like that and then having to issue "apologies" to each of the passengers was not cheap - not to mention that flight costs will eventually raise after this all passes just to make up for the money they lost through this fiasco. Flight attendants put up with a lot of crap but so do people in other professions. He acted completely unprofessional and put people in danger (as it actually is dangerous to open the slide). He disgraced not only other flight attendants by acting this way, but other working people who go to work everyday, just like him, and get treated like crap just to pay the bills. I would love to call my boss every name in the book and yell and shout and do stupid things just to piss her off but that wouldn't solve anything. I would end up looking like the idiot in the end. His 15 minutes are soon to be over.

I think he needs psych help, for sure, but it would help him out. If it's part of a plea bargain, so be it. Maybe 500 hrs of community service or something like that, but jail time seems harsh and overblown.

Um…what was your first clue Hilton???…the fact that he is a homosexual means he is in need of psychiatric help

Hey Judge, old buddy old pal, I'll give you that hum job I promised if you can just get me outta this spot.
Judge turned to me & grinned & said "Seven years, pansy boy. When you're hot, you're hot."
And I said "Thanks a lot."

Does a one-legged duck swim in a circle?

  12. 12

No, he's just gay… they all act like that.

  13. 13

I seriously doubt they are going to clog up the penal system with this one. Maybe if he actually hurt someone in the process of his temper tantrum, then yes. But I think he'll get a slap on the wrist, a total bitch-out from the judge, a fine and probation. But actual hard time in jail, nah.

  14. 14

OMG!! We have all had thoughts of doing the stuff that he did, he just had the balls of acting on his thoughts. Who cares it's really none of our business.

    Re: Caligulascousin

    Here's a fact: You are a stupid cun*t.

  16. 16

Perez you should hook up with him you 2 have lots on common

  17. 17

I'd have been surprised if they let him keep his job, and even more surprised if he isn't on the 'NO FLY LIST. I wouldn't want to be on a plane with the guy at 35,000-feet, would you?

  18. 18

how about plastic surgery to fix that wrecked up face? he makes JWoww look like a woman from the neck up.

  19. 19

He doesn't deserve jail time, that would be ludicrous. I think it's a good idea for him to get help in the mental/health and substance abuse areas…..still laugh when I think about what he did!

The powers that be are full of themselves. He didn't actually endanger anyone but himself. Common sense needs to rule the day here. The customer service industry is documented to be one of the most stressful areas to labor in. He broke a rule, but had no ill intent toward anyone; he just had to get out.

  21. 21

The plane was AT THE GATE when he blew the slide. 1-He could have KILLED someone. 2-He could have just opened the door on the other side and WALKED off.

He seems like nothing more than an attention whore/ drama queen.

I don't know if 7 years in prison is what he needs, but he sure deserves some jail time for what he did.

As a flight attendant, I along with many others would LOVE to have done the same thing, but we don't. There's a line, and he crossed it.

I hope on top of jail time, JetBlue goes after him for the money it cost them in repacking the slide and the flight cancellations and or delays he caused. His wages would be garnished for years.

  22. 22

Re: @v@ – He TOTALLY endangered anyone on the ground, near the front of the plane. The airplane was already parked at the gate and blowing that slide could have killed someone.

  23. 23

    he must be crazed

  24. 24

    Your future husband.

  25. 25

Just my 2 cents. He snapped, plain and simple. And he probably more than needs mental health and yes alcohol counseling. jail time is not what will help him, and as some say, yes, he may have hurt someone, but he did not! The fact that it cost the Airlines money, I say , SO WHAT! That is what insurance is for. Not to mention how many people are inconvenanced for no compensation, nor apology on a daily basis as airlines have made it almost impossible to even speak with a live human being. And, I also understand that side of the coin too! People are horrible, mean and selfish.Rude, rude , rude. It happened, it's done, end of story.

Re: Megain – Yeah, I guess the slide maybe could have bonked a tarmac guy, if the spin on how it works is true, but it didn't. No tarmac guy is going to be anywhere near a plane the second it parks.

  27. 27

Re: @v@ – That's what so many people don't understand! It wasn't the second the plane stopped. It had been parked at the gate and the jetway was already up to the 1Left door, canopy closed and all. That doesn't happen instantly.

Steven Slater needs help of some sort. Some jail time and some MAJOR counseling

  28. 28

'The Working Man's Hero'? What a joke! If everyone blew there top because of assholes they encountered during public service the world would be in chaos. The guy is a schmuck with an ego the size of Cleveland that needs to be brought down to size. With all the risk of harm he could have needlessly caused someone at the base of the plane by blowing the slide, stealing beer (cheap thrills), and inflicting his pointless abusive banter to the entire flight who had nothing to do with his insult by a single passenger, he should be punished. What is seeing a psychiatrist going to do for someone that purposely caused the damage he did? It is completely redundant. He took great glee in his actions and advertised it to all the world online expecting and receiving the cheers from all of the fellow pricks/fans that obviously can't see this from a realistic perspective. He is an embarrassment to all flight attendants who have put in just as many years of service and done so with consistent professionalism, patience, and care of their crew and passengers, despite the abuse they must receive from the inevitable traveling egotistical ass-wipe!
