The Cyrus family really seems to have a problem with their given names.
Just like her daughter Destiny Hope Miley Cyrus, Tish Cyrus has decided to legally change her name. Her given name, Leticia Finley Cyrus, will now officially be shortened to Tish.
Eh, we think Leticia is more unique and prettier. Tish just sounds like the noise people make when they try to legitimize MileyBird's acting abilities.

I am called a much shortened version of my name, and I don't think I'd do my parents the disrespect of legally changing the name they gave me, but hey - that's just me. She does have too much time on her hands to legally change her name. What is the point of changing it at this point? Everyone already calls her Tish.
The only thing I like about this is that it proves my point that parents shouldn't name their children some long name and then call them by a nickname their whole life. I had a math teacher in high school who had a baby and named her Elizabeth but told everyone that she was going to call her Ellie. I thought to myself, "Then why didn't you just name her Ellie?"

To be honest, she should just keep it and have a nickname. Miley's was a bit more understandable considering Destiny is nothing like Miley and Destiny is such a corny name but there's not much of a difference between Letica and Tish.
