How awful!

Mike Edwards, the founding member of the Electric Light Orchestra, was tragically killed on Friday when a bale of hay rolled down a hill and collided with his car. The force was so great that it caused him to swerve into another care on the road.

Edwards was only 62 years old.

So sad.

Our condolences go out to his family, friends and fans who will surely miss him.

      I LOVE ELO! They've been one of my favorites since I was a kid. What a bizarre accident! How very sad :(

      This is very sad, but wasn't Mike Edwards only like on the first album or two of ELO's, y'know, the ones nobody ever listened to?

      ELO is classic and once "Don't Bring Me Down" gets in your head it's hard to get it out. Such a very sad way to go and I pray for peace and comfort for Mike's family, friends and fans. RIP Mike and thank you for your contribution to music. It will not be forgotten.
