The Situation's Drugged Out Past

Jersey Shore's Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino has a shaaaaaady past (well, sort of!)

On October 24, 2003, pre-"situation" Michael Sorrentino was arrested for pot possession in Manalapan, New Jersey. Then 22-year old Michael was pulled over for being an idiot having an expired registration, which escalated into a much worse SITUATION.

Sorrentino was driving with a suspended license, "unclear plates," a stash of pot, as well as a "glass pipe full of the burnt weed."

He plead not guilty four days later and the charges were dropped, but he was put on a one year probation with mandatory drug testing throughout that period, and he had to pay $810 in court costs.

Looks like you've come a long way since then, Michael. Let's just hope we don't see a repeat of October 24, 2003!

What Do U think of The Situation's somewhat shady past?

Why am I not surprised? The guy is an idiot.

  2. 2

    Better than toxic alcohol.

  3. 3

he was smoking a joint in one of the episodes.. the one where angelina slaps pauly .. pay attention to the scene where he is in the hot tub alone.. and i know for a fact he still smokes because i have seen him out in miami.. so no big surprise.

  4. 4

"unclear plates" you mention simply means that in Jersey, you can not put license plate covers, such as tinted plate covers, over the plates….in case some of you were questioning that

  5. 5

nothing shady about some dried up flowers. Far better than destructive, angry, wife-beating alcohol

  6. 6

Mine is worse, I better not get famous, or you will call me a druggie

  7. 7

    im from manalapan!

  8. 8

Oh no, pot possession and driving on a suspended license, what a criminal.

  9. 9

lol that's shady to you? Getting caught with Pot are you kidding me Perez?

  10. 10

big deal, it's just pot…..if is was cocaine or something then yeah maybe but give me a break….everybody in Hwood does it!!!

  11. 11

big friggin' deal ..Re: NaughtyAngel – you're so right.

  12. 12

at least it wasent crack !
    everyone smokes weed

  13. 13

If smoking pot makes you have a "shady past", then the majority of Americans have one. Christ…where is your common sense Perez? That being said, anyone who refers to himself as "The Situation" has to be a total douchebag.

its fucking weeed. how is that a big deal whatsoever. sooo many people in the world smoke weed its practically legal get over it

  15. 15

Um..nothing because weeds not a drug? It's no worse than alcohol or cigarettes? It actually has medicinal use which is something you can't say about the other two? People who call pot a drug obviously don't have the mental capacity to understand that you can't overdose on weed but you can on mostly all of the OTC medicine you take for your ailments (tylenol, sudafed, nyquil, etc.). Those people are just as dumb as the ones who created the law in the first place and also no worse than the women who fought for prohibition back in the teens and twenties because they couldn't stand their men going out and having a good time, i.e. not foxing them anymore. LOL, I mean, if you think that this is shady and even newsworthy, you should just give up your right to vote because you clearly don't have the skills to legislate the lives of others.

I'll never understand this foolishness ever and its one of the things you can point at when discussing the collapse of our great country. Our inability to man up and swallow our pride and to reasess drug sentencing laws is not only forcing us to spend billions of dollars on jails, but its also creating habitual inmates. I'm to lazy to look up the exact figures online, but I don't doubt that it's any less than 30-40% of current inmates are in there for minor to medium level drug related cases. It's a damn shame because most of the time (depending on the drug) it over-punishes someone who instead of using jail as a learning experience..they transform it into a "me against them" mentality thus making the problem far worse.

God, you are such a drama queen. "DRUGGED OUT PAST!" and then it turns out to be pot. ridiculous.

  18. 18

that's not shady, that's just every 22 year old boy in america.

  20. 20

'drugged out' omg pot isn't even that bad compared to anything else lmao at least its not alcohol.. i knew he was smoking a joint in season 2 a smoker knows lol

  21. 21

OMG! He smoked a joint! Give him the chair!

  22. 22

    Pot charges. What a rebel.
Seriously the way you made it sound like, you'd think he was shooting up heroin in his eye balls.

  23. 23

How is having weed on him considered shady?

  24. 24

this is not bad at all. it was over 7 years ago. omg… come on perez…nothing interesting at all.. Paris Hilton getting caught with coke, then saying it wasn't her purse, and getting off with just a warning is shady

  25. 25

My granny smokes pot. What's the big deal?

  26. 26

You do meth (I can't believe that chin is actually natural) and you say someone's past is shady if he got caught with pot?? really??
I think 95% of the people I know smokes pot on a regular basis, much better than getting wasted with alcohol.. #420

  27. 27

Oh no…..POT!!!!! So tragic. When it turns out to be crack cocaine, write about it then, not when it's about weed.

Oh wow . Pot Possession and driving with unclear license plate ???

How the fuck is that guy not on the Electric Chair already ????

  29. 29

Aside from blowing lines in Miami every night they go out…I heard a rumor from some friends in Jersey that he was into heroin for a bit.

  30. 30

it's just fucking weed, everyone should smoke it. & amen to kevin 1234. who careees! i hope he still smokes

  31. 31

Really? Pot? That's a drugged out past? Who cares really?

  32. 32

who doesnt smoke weed, some just get caught?

  33. 33

I do think pot should be legal; however, HOW DID HE GET OUT OF ALL THESE CHARGES? Did he show them his abs or something? This is way worse than the charges Chace Crawford had against him and look where Chace is now! His mugshot is posted all over the internet and I'm sure he's lost acting jobs due to the charge (at least ones with Disney anyway if he ever decided he wanted to go that route).

  34. 34

Nice how you not only quote a STAR mad story, but actually show a pic of the magazine's actual page but never mention where the article is from!

  35. 35

The guys is an idiot but very entertaining! Everyone has a past and its not like its crack or heroine. Its a lil bit of pot, give me a break!

  36. 36

"Herb is the healing of a nation, alcohol the destruction."- Bob Marley
Seriously? Shaaaady? Drugged out past? Its not tweak its herbs! Give him a breaaaakk and crucify a real druggy or someone that drinks and drives….XOXO

  37. 37

    Re: hppygrl420 – AMEN

  38. 38

err i think his face is the situation not his abs..

  39. 39

Who cares about the pot and plate. The thing that gets me blown away is why do we make celebrities out of no talent, poor white trash like this group of losers? Americans should waked up and stop supporting shows like this, anyone who watches this trash is just more trash like that scuzzi group of no talents.

  40. 40

    It's just weed….big deal!!
