Beware Of The Hoda Curse, SNL Newbies!

So far, two different actresses have portrayed Hoda Kotb opposite Kristen Wiig as Kathie Lee on Saturday Night Live. Both of those actresses were given the axe after one year on the show. So, in what was an usual turn of events for the 17th hour of The Today Show, Kathie Lee posed an insightful question:

Is there a "Hoda Curse" on the show?

Hmm. We think it's certainly possible, but maybe if the next actress commits more to the role, they'll stay around longer. We suggest three bottles of Stoli before rehearsals and an extra one for right before show time. That should get whoever it is into character right quick!

It really makes me sick how quickly Lorne Michaels axes the talented females, yet keeps all of the talentless men around. Beaty-eyed fat greek guy? Check. Fat black guy? Check. Boring pasty white guys? Check. Check. Check. Yet, he axed two hilarious girls last year –Casey Wilson and Michaela Watkins –and another this year, Bitch, please Seth Meyers is not funny.
