Heroes Movie NOT Happening

We can only hope and pray that the Arrested Development movie doesn’t suffer the same fate!

The news of Heroes’ impending cancellation was announced last May, but fans saw some light at the end of the tunnel, as reports had arisen about the possibility of a Heroes movie.

Alas, the reports were wrong, and the Heroes movie is NOT happening. Here’s what show creator Tim Kring had to say on the subject:

“No decision has been made, but the Heroes brand is an extremely broad premise. It was a premise about ordinary people, an undisclosed number of people all over the world, who were waking up to these extraordinary abilities. Any number of stories could happen around that. We never posited a single ending or a single premise. It wasn’t about getting off of an island or stopping something from happening. We told stories in volumes that had a beginning, a middle, and an end. Those volumes could go on and on and on with many different characters. As a result, that Heroes universe is something that can be tapped into again in many ways.”

Looks like there MAY still be more Heroes in our future…just not in our immediate future, AND certainly not on NBC.

Would U like to see more Heroes in the future?

"It wasn’t about getting off of an island or stopping something from happening. "

Well, maybe that was their problem. The widely popular show, Lost, had only that plot, right? No! Heroes failed because their characters weren't interesting anymore and for Tim Kring to sell out his idea is total bull. I loved the first two seasons of Heroes, but it lost the character arcs that make any literary work interesting…even Twilight. Obviously, Tim Kring doesn't want to be successful because to him the characters mean zilcho. Good luck to you Tim Kring, in whatever other unfinished exploits you pursue.

Hi Mr.Kring, Here's a newsflash from one of your off-and-on fans (depending on whether your team is messing up a great story or doing well with it at the time:) A movie can be about a chapter within an overriding story…it doesn't have to be the cap on an entire franchise. But keeping your sometimes fans interested is pretty important if you plan on doing anything else with the characters in the future.

Great first season. It went down hill from there. The last season was horrible. I kept watching hoping it would turn around, but it never did.
