We're hearing that RiRi is in Los Angeles now and may even be at the VMA venue.

Just a rumor or true???

Would be great to have her open the show with Eminem and/or even sing her new single!

Update: She's at the venue! In a tracksuit! On the stage! Rehearsing Love The Way You Lie with Fem!

Along with Taylor singing a song Kanye wrote for her, along with Drake, Bieber, Flo+Machine, with a few more awesome surprise Performers. Along with Travie McCoy and many others.

EMINEM is not at the awards show! Supposedly he was supposed to get his award at the beginning of the show, and they had to accept it on his behalf because he was off doing work elsewhere and couldnt make it! He prob made prior arrangements cause he knew Rihanna couldnt make it cause she was in Hawaii and didn't want to look like a loser on stage! haha

This fits perfectly with our hopes and dreams that Mizz Britney Spears will take one of those judges seats... and that the other might be filled with Fergie or Janet Jackson!

As we reported earlier, Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid are on the hunt for two hosts to fill the void left now by former host Steve Jones. There are lots of rumors floating around, but here is something that L.A. can confirm: two girls are a MUST for the job! As Reid told sources:

“We will likely have two girls. That, you can probably count on.”

But don't get too excited. Things mind change beyond next season, as they're looking for a co-ed team to tackle hosting duties later on!!

Here's what Simon said:

“I always wanted a boy and a girl to host the show and I think that’s definitely going to happen now. I think it’s going to make it more interesting.”

All of this news has us SUPER excited for next season!
