Joaquin Phoenix Returning To Letterman

| Filed under: David LettermanJoaquin Phoenix

Joaquin Phoenix provided us with one of the best moments on television in 2009 (above), and we can’t wait to see what he does this time around.

Phoenix will appear on Letterman on September 22 to promote his new documentary, I’m Still Here, which is about his attempt at becoming a hip-hop musician. It’s directed by Casey Affleck.

We can’t wait!

What do U think will happen this time?

Did he fart when he was on the show previously?

This was my first time watching this…..it was almost uncomfortable to watch. Gotta feel so bad for Joaquin for all the jokes and laughter, but feel bad for Letterman for having to interview him with nothing to say.

He's either drugged out, insanely shy or method acting. He looks like he is so uncomfortable to be there and yet he agreed to be on the show… he doesn't answer any questions with any rational response… so weird. I will not be watching his documentary.

This is hilarious. Joaquin was acting so weird. I'm sure it was fake. Letterman is amazing at his job because I couldn't have pulled off that interview. Strange.

He was just so engaging, erudite and deserving the first time, they booked him again. It's mainstream media's new mission statement policy. The larger the train wreck, the bigger the booking.

What a dumb fuck. Does he really think he's that great of an actor that anyone gives a rat's ass about how mysterious he is? Go film yourself skydiving without a chute that would make me watch.

Joaquin's behavior was all an act for the documentary. Really really really good publicity because he had almost all (well at least most- i heard even Letterman wasn't in on it) convinced. We'll all see it in the movie when it comes out I guess?
