No, it kinda SUCKED. No pun intended. I LOVE TB, but I expected much more from the season finale. BOOOOOOO!!!! It was confusing and a let down.

  2. 2

    …and corny. ;(

  3. 3

It was pretty good. The end kinda murky though.

  4. 4

Nah, but I'll catch it online later.

It was a horrible episode in my opinion.

  6. 6

Love TB , but it sucked……Crap twilight quality..if that..:(

  7. 7

Good episode till about the last 15 minutes… all down hill from there.

Huge True Blood fan with all the excitement this season, the finale left me very *blah* They promised amazing cliffhangers and I kept waiting for them to come. They never did. However, am still a huge fan and hate I have to wait 9 months for the next season!

  9. 9

i love TB but the season 3 finally was a real let down. Really corny and lame. The only thing exiting was Bill's secret and the gun shootings but the rest just…. blah

  10. 10

Season 3 could have been terrific but alas,Mr. Ball seems compelled to water down the plot's effect by adding WAYYYYYYY too many silly characters. I mean you need a directory now. It "sucks" up all the time and makes the main characters only appear in tiny sequences. Hate the way this is going and apparently more characters next year. The finale was just so so. I could do no better but its now frustrating to watch for me. Thank God, Spartacus is coming back.

  11. 11

anyone who has read Ms. Harris's books knows that beside the first,THEY ARE STUPID CORNEY.Mr. Ball has turned the stories into something eles. that saying, he left me feeling cheated with that whole Snookie/fae thing. seriously?????you couldnt do better than that?????? run into the light Sookie….what are we 19something poltergeist?????? thank fang for Pam and Jessica/hoyt, they are the only"people"left

  12. 12

I just finished watching it on On Demand, I loved it! except I'm bummed about what happened to Calvin Norris. I love the books and the series except its very strange that they give most of the people who are killed off in the books such as Laffyette and Tara (Who I do love in the show) a larger role then what she has. I'm looking forward to next season where hopefully you see a different side to Eric ^^

  13. 13

I have to say they really packed too much into one episode, and weren't really clear about everything that happened! For instance, how did Eric get out of the concrete? Why exactly did Eric and Bill throw Russell into a pit of concrete with silver wrapped around his neck, instead of killing him by leaving him in the sunlight, or staking him through the heart? Was Tara leaving town? Was she going back home? Was she suicidal, or just making a change for the better? I was confused. However, despite all that, I was interested in seeing what Sookie could bo with her powers, and I'll tune in next season to find out where she went with all the other fairies. Maybe her blood does allow permanent daywalking but a vampire has to drain her! Who knows? I'll have to wait until next year!!!

  14. 14

It was ok…….it feels like there should be 1 more episode……….this really did not feel like a season finale….

  15. 15

I am a hue fan. I love the show but the finale was quite disappointing, no interesting cliff hangers :(

The season finale sucked! It was boring and like any other episode. Where was the excitement we were promised!

  17. 17

I enjoyed the last episode. It leaves many unanswered questions, which is why I love the editing and direction of TB!

  18. 18

Other than some shocking reveals that Bill's meeting with Sookie wasn't just by chance; it was rushed, yet boring; quick paced, and yet slow. A mess really.

  19. 19

They should have scrapped the episode and made the one before it the season finale–I mean it ended with Eric and Russell out in the sun burning so it would have been a great cliffhanger. The season finale left a lot to be desired. At this point in the series Alan Ball is just keeping the character names because so much has happened and not happened in the series that is incredibly different than the books. I love the books and love the show, just have to keep in mind they are completely different.

  20. 20

As much as i love true blood, the finale sucked balls. I was expecting a bigger cliffhanger at the end but that didn't happen. I was actually very happy for Jessica & Hoyt though.

  21. 21

I did watch it and It SUCKED BIG TIME. I was so disappointed corny as hell. I hope they get rid of Crystal Meth, the dumb as shift changing brother and Tara's Mom….they all need to GO!!! Oh and the queen sucks too.

    22

Good ratings but a weak season. The finale has been more like a nice mid-season finale. No more, no less. Maybe it wasn't a good decision to give season 4 such an early ok.

  23. 23

I am a fan of the series and there were a few, very good episodes this season - but the finale really sucked! I agree that there are just too many characters running around. Hopefully Tara will drive off into the sunset with her vibrating eye lids and her mother in the trunk - never to return!

  24. 24

It really wasn't good at all, it's been a few shows now that i was left feeling like there could have been more. I will watch next season, but this finale doesn't get me excited for the next.

  25. 25

Disappointed. Surprisingly, not that well written, and too may supposed "cliffhangers".
I thought the show itself was trying to be a little something for everyone this season, and I don't think it worked very well. It needs to be more tightly controlled, Mr. Ball.

  26. 26

Re: seespeakhear – I agree about Eric. I can't wait for the shower scene!

  27. 27

As I'm from England I had to catch this entire season online, soo annoying! Season 2 isn't meant to start until this Thursday over here, it's rediculous!
Overall, the finale was okay, but the whole Sookie/Bill thing was weak.

  28. 28

Anyone how didn't like the season finale of TB OBVIOUSLY hasn't read the books. . .now of course the TV show has taken liberties. . .BUT. . .it still LOOKS to be heading down the path to the MOST BEAUTIFUL AND SEXY RELATIONSHIP OF ERIC AND SOOKIE!

So FUCK YA to Bill being a douchebag!!!

And waiting until June to see season 4, might actually kill me! LOVE it!

  29. 29

Love the books, but I love the show even more, I like where Alan Ball is taking it, especially with characters like Lafayette and Jessica, but I think he should focus more on Sookie, sexy Bill and HOTNESS Eric.
What they're doing with Sam is annoying and I'm a little disappointed with the fairies, not fierce enough…
OH and more Alcide would be nice :)

  30. 30

The ratings weren't really good because the VMAs & the Redskins Cowboys game played at the same time.

  31. 31

    Loved this season!!!!

  32. 32

I thought it was actually funny!! it could have been better. I'm glad Sam's brother will be gone. Sorry, just didnt like that kid. Oh, CHIMCHARRO posted a question and asked how did Eric get out of the pit with concrete, he got out b/c Pam was able to sense him. Remember they have that connections, just like Bill and Jessica. And he didnt kill Russell b/c of Gothrick. Think i spelled his name wrong.

  33. 33

Kinda lukewarm - they should have ended it earlier (I don't give spoilers, but don't read) and it would have left us hanging, which would have been an actual cliffhanger, but then they rectify "some" events - and made it kinda of wishy washy - the vamp battle at the end I think was pretty lame and pretty predictable - there is very little "cliffhanging", I mean I think we know how the battle will pan out, what is in Hoyt's house, Sookie's coming back (obviously), and Russell is still around, should have ended it after Bill cemented Eric and have Bill come home to an irate Queen, period…

    34

No big cliffhangers, but where did Sookie go? They could have left Eric in the cement to make it more of a cliffhanger. I wish Talbot was still alive, he was hysterical.

  35. 35

From my experience, I would imagine the number would be slightly higher if college kids in dorms had HBO.
My 2 kids at Penn State couldn't see the the last 2 episodes..yet, and my NYU girl came home to watch.
True Blood never disappoints!! I think the finale was AMAZING!!!

  36. 36

The season finale is meant to be exciting. Something goos is meant to happen and then a cliff hanger to lead into the next season. The finale was just a cliff hanger. VERY BORING and basically we just have to wait ages for the next episode rather than the new season!

    37

You have absolutely NO IDEA how rating work. These are huge numbers for a premium channel. You should STFU, fat boy.

  38. 38

I hate twilight, vampire diaries and all those other vampire shows geared toward my generation but I LOVE True Blood! The episode definetely had a couple jaw dropping moments (if you're a die hard fan) there was a WTF climax at the end which was followed by a confused WTF moment but I feel it was True Bloods take on a cliffhanger. Cannot wait until season 4!

  39. 39

It was crap—showing Sookie disappearing into the fairy netherworld—SO WHAT? It should've ended (finale-wise) with the epidode before the finale with Russel and Eric locked wrist to wrist out in the sun frying. Wrong finale in my book.

  40. 40

First season was gold. Second was turning silver. Third is slowly turning to crap. I guess with any good show it gets worse as it goes along due to running out of solid ideas. I still liked the 3rd season but it doesnt look likes its going to get better. Here's hoping.

  41. 41

Anything with Eric Northman is the best! ((Please)) I can't wait for Sookie and Eric to fall in love!

  42. 42

@ chimchimineychimcharoo Some easy answers: Eric got out of the concrete because he is a) 1000 years old b)super strong c) he can fly d)his distress called Pam to come save him as she said she got concrete in her hair. Eric didn't kill Russell because Godric guilted him into saving Russells life, however Eric still won't forgive him. I thought there were some good cliff hangers, Hoyts mom was buying a gun and I think she will accidently shoot Hoyt, Sam shooting his gun (though I actually wouldn't care as his brother is a douche), Tara leaving town (something tells me that this is for good), and Jason becoming in charge of that meth chanty. Lafyettes boyfriend should be killed off asap as the actor is terrible, and I think the whole Sookie/fairy thing is, in Sookie's words "fucking lame."

  43. 43

Re: Seriously!? – nooooo Sookie and Bill need to be together!!! I forgave Bill so Sookie can too. Eric sometimes seems too good for her.

  44. 44

Re: pepperkitty – In the books you find out that Sookie is a fairy too. Yeah the books just start getting really out there the further u go in the series.

  45. 45

Re: donkey boner – I watched the show a second time and I think the only reason he got out of the pit was because Pam helped him out. It wouldn't have mattered if he was extremely old, extremely fast and had the ability to fly. He still would have not been able to get out of the pit since he had a silver cuff around one of his wrists. I mean, Russell couldn't get out of the concrete even though he is 3 times the age of Eric, is 3 times stronger and has the ability to fly, and it was all because he had a silver chain wrapped around his neck. You are right about Godric guilting him into not killing Russell, and there are some interesting cliffhangers, but I'm not surprised that you don't like the whole Sookie/fae thing. Alot of people that I've talked to think it's lame. I must be rare, because I think when light comes out of Sookie's hands, it's really cool, and the faires disappearing in a pond of light to go to their world is interesting. Her not having a blood-type, and her blood allowing daywalikng in vampires was an interesting plot twist. However, the fairies dancing in the other dimension is lame.
