This. Is. Fabulous.

Jon Stewart is taking his satire out of the studio and onto the Washington Mall for what promises to be a HIGHlarious parody of Glen Beck’s recent “Restoring Honor” rally.

And Jon Stewart won’t be the only person hosting a rally, his Comedy Central counterpart Stephen Colbert will hold “The March To Keep Fear Alive” on the same day.

We can't wait!

Will U be booking a flight to DC to watch the rally?

    Yes yes yes!

Yeah - that's an original idea - hmmm - didn't Glenn Beck have a rally - what is Jon trying to - "mine is bigger than yours" - so mature…..

  3. 3

I love Stephen Colbert, but Jon Stewart is just as big of an idiot as Glenn Beck! His line of "logic and reason" is fundamentally and blatantly flawed. He constantly spews FALSE information and statistics, completely ignoring KEY FACTS in almost any argument he engages in. It really disgusts me how much he misleads the public… so terrible.

that's awesome! and yes glenn beck had a rally ohiogirl. i don't think jon is trying to outdo beck as much as mock him..

  6. 6

At least Jon Stewart intends to be funny, as opposed to Glen Beck, who is unintentionally comical.

  7. 7

Yes, yes, YES! I love them both. Fuck you, Glenn Beck!

  8. 8

Re: Ohiogirl – The point is to mock Glenn Beck's rally. It even says that in Perez's article. And the reason him and Stephen are doing this is because their fans begged and pleaded for them to do it and even raised $200,000+ for a charity to get their attention so they would have the rally. So yeah, that's super immature of him.

    I love it!
This Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin are disgusting transparent bigots and liars!
A Rally to Restore Sanity is exactly what this country needs right now! How about one to restore the TRUTH while we are at it!

  10. 10

Jon is just trying to MOCK Glenn Beck! I wish I could afford to go it seems like it would be a blast

  11. 11

    THAT'S SO AWESOME!!!

  12. 12

    Will be there!

  13. 13

I want to have a three-way with Palin and Beck!

  14. 14

me too! i'll see you all there! XOXOXOXO!

  15. 15

Lame and pathetic. These guys only wish they were on a REAL news channel.

  16. 16

Fabulous? More like idiotic. Most of the Glenn Beck haters are just drinking the cool-aid because the media told them to. Most of them know nothing about what he really stands for. I listen to Beck on a regular basis. He's no idiot, he makes a lot of sense and he stands for what he believes in. Faith, Hope and Charity sould like good things to me. I really don't understand what there is to mock. These fools are just proving that Beck, or at least his message, is relevant. Maybe not to the people who think that checking the Perez Hilton website is the ONLY way to stay up on current events, but he's relevant to some of us. Apparently Stewart and Colbert are included. People need to educate themselves before forming an opinion. I doubt most of you have.

    Re: NumberPronk
Yeah - I know it is to mock Glenn Beck - I'm not stupid!! Just seems a waste of energy - the country is going to hell. Why don't Jon and Stephen's fans help fix it? Beck, Stewart and Colbert all raise money for charity so while the $200k is nice - not a reason for a rally. Beck's rally is old news - move on - move on to something constructive Jon and Stephen. On btw - what else would they do just cause the fans want it???

  18. 18

HAHHA I love both of them! this is fucking great

Re: AvaLuna826 – I think Sinclair Lewis said it best…
"When Fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross."
How many people of color attended that Beck rally?
The rally he made sure to hold on the day of MLK's speech?
Beck is no MLK-actually opposite end of the spectrum I'm afraid.
He's all about division. Beck is nothing but a fraud!

  20. 20

    Re: AvaLuna826

Speaking of "cool-aid" drinkers….you are obviously one of the biggest of them all.

  21. 21

    Re: AvaLuna826
Really, remind me what college Beck went to?
Stephen Colbert went to Dartmouth. Or is an actual education to "lefty" for
Beck? Let me guess, he was "self taught"…just like all the people who love him.

  22. 22

Re: AvaLuna826 – apparently someone forgot the beck IS a part of the media. quit acting like all media is liberal.

  23. 23

Let sanity prevail. No one else is standing up to the extremists. See you in Washington.

  24. 24

Re: AvaLuna826 – "Faith, Hope and Charity sould like good things to me."

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Have you ever paused to think about that? To use Beck's favorite persona, Hitler was spreading many positive messages when he was rallying Nazi Germany too.

  25. 25

Re: Ohiogirl – Colbert's March to Keep Fear Alive is to mock Beck's rally, because Colbert's onscreen character is that of a rhetoric-spewing right-wing parody of characters like Beck, Limbaugh, Palin etc.

Stewart's Rally to Restore Sanity has the real message, not just a mockery of Beck. I doubt Stewart really cares about Beck, other than the fact that Beck has been a great source of comic materials.

  27. 27

hahahahahahahahaha this is awesome, knew he was gonna do this from the moment he said something about a huge announcement on his show 2 weeks ago. love it. too bad i live far away.

  28. 28

I'll be there w/ bells on! Can't wait!

Jon Stewart is the ugliest man on the planet. To mock the majority of the American people - what is his motivation? Too bad for him he's delusional and probably will not get over it. He's as ugly inside as he is outside.

  30. 30

    Re: uyeah
    majority? What majority?

  31. 31

Re: AvaLuna826 – Yeah, "conservatives" make GREAT choices! Percentage of Tea Party members who thought invading Iraq was a great idea? 100%. We KNOW what happens when y'all get power. Flag burning amendments and Terry Shiavo and a pointless impeachment that made time for Al Queda to attack a US city.

  32. 32

Re: supersongbird – Beck has never claimed to be MLK. So I'm not really sure what your point is. I'd like to think MLK would be happy that this rally took place. He stood for being judged by the content of character and not by skin color. If anything Beck was paying homage to MLK and his message. How about we use a little common sense?

  33. 33

Re: Sanity supporter – How about if you remind me when I said anything that has to do with going to college? It doesn't take a college degree. All it takes is a little common sense.

  34. 34

Re: gregoryschmo – nobody said all media was liberal. but the majority is.

  35. 35

Re: bgbreakdown – do you know every single tea party member? i don't think so. nobobdy ever said conservatives were perfect. there happen to be many conservative views that i don't necessarily agree with. there also happen to be a lot of liberal views that i don't agree with. i don't even think i mentioned the word conservative or liberal in my post. I'm speaking about Beck in particular.

  36. 36

Re: Mike Feng – I might agree with you if you had anything to back it up. I listen to Beck. I have for years. I don't agree with everything he says. I do know that I have never seen or heard anything from him that leads me to believe that he's anything like Hitler. So because Hitler was a diabolical piece of shit, that means that Beck is too? Am I really supposed to make that assumption and punish Beck for Hitler's sins? Really? Is that what you're telling me? How does that even make any sense? You'll need to do a little better than that. Like give me examples. And real examples. Not sound bites taken out of context and bullshit like that. Real evidence that Beck is the villain people like you claim he is.
