    fun fact. Elton's partner, David Furnish is the producer of this movie. He has been working on it for approximately six years - I guess it all has finally come together!! So if anyone is wondering why Elton John music - that's the reason!

    Ha a bit ridiculous, but isn't that what's great about Shakespeare? His plays can be put in any time period and incorporate all kinds of styles and it always works. You know, like Taming of the Shrew being redone with angsty high schoolers in 10 Things I Hate About You and R&J taking place in 90s California in the R&J with leo and claire danes.
