Lt. Choi For The Win!

| Filed under: Gay Gay GayLegal MattersPolitik

Check out (above) a very heated debate between openly gay Lt. Dan Choi and horrible bigot Bishop Harry Jackson over the repeal of the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy!

It's unreal to us that people can use terminology like "radical gay movement" in this day and age and believe it to be a real thing.

But we have to commend Choi for keeping his cool and clearly coming out on top!

We don't think we would have managed to be so kind to someone spouting so much ignorance and hate at us.

Thoughts??

"We don't think we would have managed to be so kind to someone spouting so much ignorance and hate at us."
    I'm sure that's how Will.I.Am felt, too!

    Seriously?
Ummm.hate to break it to you…BUT IT IS A REAL. Get over yourself and realize that freedom of speech is applicable to all not just to you! Stop getting your thong in a twist everytime says something that even remotely hurts your non-existant feelings - you'll live longer. Your complexion may even clear up!

WE SHOULD NOT ALLOW GAYS IN THE MILITARY. IT WILL CAUSE THE DESTRUCTION OF AMERICAN SOCIETY. WHY DOES DAN CHOI HAVE TO PUSH HIS PERVERSION ON THE REST OF THE COUNTRY??

Perez you're so lost. Why does ANY organization have to know your sexual preference? Why do you think it's necessary to force your sexual practices on anyone? What does who you're sleeping with have to do with participating in the military? Don't ask about it and no one will have to tell it. That is practical.

Lt. Choi compares his sexual preference to the discirmination that Civil Rights leaders had to face. He is so misinformed. It is absolutely not the same thing and I wish gay people would stop making the comparison. It's insulting to the people who suffered in the past.

The gay movement is a minority concern. So to call their movement radical is right. The opinions of a few is being forced on the many.

Re: BlackAvenger – Why should any institution need a law to keep you from expressing your sexual preferences?

  11. 11

Re: BlackAvenger – So then, based on your reasoning there, the same should also go for straight people. Why do they need to be open about being straight? They don't, but it is a fact that people talk such things as their relationships and they should have the right to do so. God and why does everyone assume open gays are gonna make it a point to throw their sexuality in other people's faces and hit on the other guys there? Being gay doesn't make you any less capable of discretion, so whats the problem?

Re: BlackAvenger – I agree with you 100%. DADT is not saying you CAN'T be gay and in the military. Its just saying if you're gay, keep it to yourself. I won't ask you if you are and you don't tell me that you are. Me, a straight person, isn't going to be asked if I'm straight. Basically its DADT all the way around. I don't go around parading that I'm straight. I just act like a normal person doing my job - job being serving my country. When you go home from work, be gay all you want. Honestly, sexuality has nothing to do with fighting for your country. The government is not going to ask you to fuck the enemy in the ass so what's the big deal? Serve your country and shut up. The DADT was put in place to protect you and to keep everything neutral when around each other. When you sign up for the military you sign away your constitutional rights - read your contract! That means, freedom of speech doesn't apply to you. So for you to fight for "equal rights" doesn't make sense. Why don't you fight that WHOLE ENTIRE section of your contract that way freedom of any kind is possible and DADT wouldn't matter anyway? Why? Because it would interfere with your job maybe? You gays will never be happy…I'm over it.

    Re: MarioMonjack

    You are a stupid cun*t.

The Army should be banned , it's pure useless .

and the reason the troop moral is decrease when a gay murderers is known is simple , the majority of the murderers in the army are racist/homophobic/xenophobic hicks .

Actually Choi's arguments were weak. I thought he was more intelligent than that. And what are you talking about Choi keeping his cool? The Bishop was measured and polite. He should be commended for keeping cool when Choi would interrupt him and not answer his questions.

to Cashmere Jay, Black Avenger, MarioMonjack, and NOT a perez posse member. If you are so angry about what perez says and what lt. dan choi says. then do not watch the video or read perez's blog. no one wants to be around bigots and haters. not a perez posse member, it is unreal that someone could use that type of terminology. it is discriminatory and wrong. homosexuality is not perversion. gays should be allowed in the military and dan choi along with all others have the rights to their liberty. mariomonjack, are you in the armed services? black avenger, gay rights are civil rights. there is no difference between gay rights and black rights or gay rights and women rights. being in the closet is terrible. once ur open about who you are, it's wonderful. there's no more fear or sadness. your happy no matter what others say. and we deserve our rights. america will soon give us our rights and if you don't like it, then leave.

When someone disagree's with you that does not make them a bigot, homophobe, islamophobe, or whatever else you chose to call them. You believe you are right and he believes he is. Stop the name calling!!!!!
The only people who should be making this decision are the people who serve in the military. Unless you are there putting your life on the line your opinion should have no weight.
