Our Favorite X Factor Performance Of The Weekend Was….

| Filed under: X FactorCher Lloyd

Cher Lloyd!

Was it a homerun? No!

The rapping didn't work, but….

We LOVE that Cher tried something different! We love that she's not afraid of taking risks and being different - from the very beginning!

We love that she has such a strong sense of self!

We love that she's so fierce!

And we love that she can actually sing. Well!

Check her out (above)!

What were YOUR favorite bootcamp performances????

  2. 2

CHLOE VICTORIA would have owned this….

  3. 3

Ugh. I didn't like this performance at all. And I've seen her other one, it was much better. This was actually pretty disappointing.

  4. 4

:( i am not into british accent i can hear it in the singing, Adele is the few that i love her voice. I like British people though :)

  5. 5

this girl looks like she's about 40 years old. LMAO!

  6. 6

umm, that was a wicked little performance! girl got it happening for being 16..how she done that rap…that absolutely 'worked' ..big up my little girly, keep on going with that swagger. ;) xx

  7. 7

uhh i get what she was trying to do it just didn't flow to well
kudos to her stepping out of the box but people with british accents don't sound right rapping to me…trying a little to hard
the right person coulda made that idea good

  8. 8

she just butchered the absolute greatness that it coldplay. im ashamed.

  9. 9

    the song is awful

  10. 10

She wrote her own lyrics? What lyrics? Saying a few famous names at the beginning, that's not lyrics..

  11. 11

She's great. I hope she does well! I love her voice.

    I like her so much!
It's not perfect, it needs a lot of work… but she definitely is an artist!

And a great attitude, original! She can grow so much and I'm very much looking forward to see what's going to happen. How she will develop. :)

  13. 13

No No No No- Her audition, hands down was good but she totally messed this up. Plus her actual voice is really annoying. I think she's too young.
Did u see Marlon Mckenzie- The guy is Amazing and pretty hot.

I think you are paid to write at least one post in a week about that show, right?

  16. 16

WHAT A FUCKING TRAINWRECK!!!! THAT WAS A MESS ARRANGEMENT WISE AND HER VOCALS AINT GOOD AT ALL. LIKE KERI HILSON ON CRACK!! SHE SUUUCKED!!! THAT GAMU CHIC FROM ZIMBABWE IS THE BEST OVERALL. GREAT RNB AND BLUES VOCALS.

    17

She can sing well? I thought the rapping was better then the actual singing, she reminds me of a mini copy of lady sovereign, except her voice is 10x more annoying and if she won factor whatever, her songs will be 10x worst. she looks like she has some kind of handicap with those brows.

  18. 18

THAT was ABSOLUTE RUBBISH!!! She can not sing are you kidding me? And the facial expressions and the moves and everything it's all so wrong wrong WRONG

  19. losky says – reply to this

    19

her voice is off to me. and her face is off to me. and her hair. its a no for me.

  20. 20

i agree with ansie. she was trying too hard with the moaning and those moves. i dont know what my favorite performance was, but def. not this one

  21. 21

her eyebrows annoy the hell out of me

  22. @v@ says – reply to this

    22

It's easy to tell that she has the goods, so even if it was all over the place, I was still watching just to see what she would do next, so she had me.
She's an original and exciting performer, for 16.

  23. 23

GF is FIERCE! She's got IT.

    24

who cares about some british tv show. nobody has ever made it from one in britian except susan boyle who is more a novelty due to her looks, though she does have a great voice. Nobody in the US cares about X Factor, Cheryl Cole, the Beckhams, and their teeth look like dark chicklets and they have bad body odor

  25. 25

I think she was great when she sang turn my swag on, but the coldplay rap at the start was a little hard on the ears. I like her overall, she is terrific.

  26. 26

HARRY STYLES HARRY STYLES HARRY STYLES HARRY STYLES HARRY STYLES HARRY STYLES HARRY STYLES HARRY STYLES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

  27. 27

Oh Harry Styles in is a group now. Groups never do well on X Factor :-( but i love him so much!

  28. 28

I loved her first performance, but I think this was terrible. It really was all over the place. And OMG her eyebrows.

  29. 29

I actually am a very big fan of Cher, she's amazing! And I like that african-american girl, can't remember her name, the one that made Louis cry :) They're both great singers. I LOLed so much when Chloe Victoria failed at her song, gosh.

  30. alyha says – reply to this

    30

she has potential but gamu nhengu's performance of to make you feel my love was amazing and way better!! :D

  31. 31

No. It didn't flow. At all. She was trying to hard to showcase all her "skills" and ultimately it just was a confusing mess. Did you see the faces on the audience? That's exactly what my face looked like. Like, we're trying hard to figure it out, but it's just not coming together.

  32. 32

    I love her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  33. 33

    i like Liam ;)
He was put in a group though which im actually excited about

  34. 34

omg. i looooved it! that was good. she's very original. i reallly liked it!

  35. 35

that was really fucking horrid. has simon cowell gone soft over in britain? he should have ripped that shit apart.

  36. 36

Um… Holy shit? That was awesome!

  37. 37

    Re: jjames33

couldnt agree with you more on that. for a 16 yr old, thats sooo fuckin unnecessary and fugly.

  38. 38

I don't like how Americanized the UK is trying to be. You know its gone too far when you hear someone from Britain saying words like "swagger."

  39. 39

I think she is the new Bjork!

  40. 40

    Re: smbRe: smb
Yeah because showing an interest in what happens around the rest of the world is pointless right? I mean American Idol is clearly producing global stars like Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks etc, who have had hits in…. errr, the US? As for Cheryl Tweedy and the Beckhams, it seems that despite their "body odour" they have managed to lead successful careers (whether you like them or not) and what exactly have you achieved? Thought so. Have a nice day. P.s Leona Lewis is a multi-platinum recording artist (X-factor winner) you ignoramus

  41. 41

Can she really sing though? Sounds like a limited range to me…

  42. 42

Re: jlenoconel – The word 'swagger' has been in the English dictionary for years. Remind me which language you speak? Is it American? Oh no, that's right, in America you speak English…

  43. 43

I had a migraine when I watched this on Saturday. Her voice did NOT help at all; I cannot believe she got through. Talent my arse.

  44. 44

um EW…that was awful!!! Dreadful and horrendous….

  45. Twime says – reply to this

    45

I thought it was awful. Why is she getting so much press coverage? I just don't get it.

  46. Eris says – reply to this

    46

The girl is as fake as her trashy hair extensions. She has talent but she tries too hard to be a rapper/ rnb artist as you see on the tv instead of being herself. I'm not saying she shouldn't rap or anything, but it is sooo obvious she is trying so hard that imo it comes out very fake. She butchered a fantastic coldplay song and didn't actually show how much she can sing, which is a disappointment because she is a great singer, she just needs to find herself and not embody a persona which she sees on tv.

  47. 47

    I liked it.

  48. 48

Haha we never use the word Swagger?!? Yeah ok then?! And David Beckham clearly isn't famous!? Leona Lewis?! Funny How the American Idol Winner's Never succeed anywhere but America?! I can only name one?! Everyone is bored with American idol now thats why they are bringing X-factor to the US. Anyways whats that guy who's just taken over from Larry King?! Piers Morgan- Oh yeah he's English.. Along With the biggest movie start of the Moment Rob Pattinson? I very much doubt he has bad body odor

  49. 49

Re: smb – Oh, an ignorant American, why does this not surprise me? You do know that Britain produces a lot of great musicians who couldn't give a flying fuck about making it in America? As for all the rip-offs of British tv programmes, don't even get me started! I can't stand to watch American Idol, cos everyone is so fake!! Reality tv my arse!

  50. 50

people need to stop obsessing over her. matt cardle is the one to watch, his version of 'first time ever i saw your face' was amazing.

  51. Ayiio says – reply to this

    51

    Absolutely horrible .
The rap , the facial expression , the vocal . Yarkkkkkkkk .

  52. 52

    Re: suuuperbad – agreed!

  53. 53

BITCH IS STRUNG OUT ON METH!!!! THE LOOK IS PERFECT FOR CSI.

  54. 54

She can sing. but she needs work. She needs a few voice lessons and someone needs to give her a make-under. Her voice is different and interesting but if she doesn't get the help she needs, she won't make it. The performance was just all over the place, just as Simon said.

  55. 55

wtf is up with this girl. this was amazing the rap was the best and unique and wtf;.l

  56. 56

Can not stand her, and them stupid faces she pulls!

  57. 57

    This is not good.

  58. 58

I love Cher, she is such a cutie.
I love her scrunched up face.
She has an amazing voice, she needs to stop trying to be a rapper and just sing and she will destroy everyone.

  59. 59

it didnt really work at the start but it was ok once she got into it

  60. 60

Re: justme09 – well you can go and listen to soulja boy then, but ill be listening to skepta and tinie tempah, thanks

  61. 61

Re: smb – What, and it's ALL about the US now? Perhaps you don't know that this website is viewed by more than just Americans - heck, I'm Welsh (that's in Britain, in case you didn't know) and I'm on here. So maybe you don't give a damn about these people 'over the pond' but we do, and so we should be able to read the goss about them. It's not all about you.

  62. 62

Re: jlenoconel – Dear god…. the word 'swagger' has been used for ages over in the UK too, you know. Why is it ALWAYS about the Americans doing it, or coming first?

  63. 63

    She's rubbish!

  64. 64

    Loooooove her. :)

  65. 65

    um it was okay………………………….ish???

  66. 66

Does it seem to anyone else that Simon is easier/nicer to the Brits? Not complaining, just wondering.

  67. suryy says – reply to this

    67

    wtf?

  68. 68

She doesn't have the best voice but she is a captivating performer. She held my attention the whole time which cant be said about great singers who are boring as hell.

  69. 69

    She is weird!
