So sad.

Gloria Stuart, who is probably most well-known for Academy Award-nominated role as the older version of Kate Winslet in Titanic, passed away yesterday in Los Angeles.

She had just celebrated her 100th birthday in July.

Our thoughts are with her family and friends during this difficult time.

She will be greatly missed.

I just watched titanic the other day :(

  3. 3

What is fuckin "SO SAD" about living past l00?????

  4. 4

Let us know if there's a change in her condition.

  5. 5

Difficult time? The woman was 100 years old that's literally a complete lifetime right there.

all of you are always whining about how perez is heartless, cold or whatever but 5 minutes later you come here mocking the fact that the lady died on her 100's and it's not a hard time for her family. doesn't matter if a family member dies on their 5's or on their 100's, it's ALWAYS a difficult time for the family.

Re: backfire – nothing - mario thinks death is sad because he's going to hell…………

  8. 8

Glad to hear she lived a long and seemingly fulfilled life - the eternal time with our maker won't compare!! RIP Ms. Stuart.

I watched Titanic yesterday for the first time in years.

Oh no,the old rose died :(
but a hundred years is quite a good age :')
She's gorgeous ..she must have been a beauty when she was younger.

Re: carolhellton – No one was mocking Gloria Stuart's death, we just find it absurd that Mario is making it out like this was some kind of horrible tragedy. If anything the Family should be celebrating the fact that she was able to live so long. After all how many Human beings get to see their 100th birthday?

Re: M.t. Dickinson – Have you never lost an older relative you were close with? No matter how much time one is given it's never enough. I can guarantee you if your mother dies at 100 it still won't be enough time. You'll always want one more day. My condolences to Ms. Stuart's family.

This is crazy. I just watched Titanic yesterday and was wondering how much longer this woman would be around!

  15. 15

Why is it a difficult time? Not many of us live to 100 and especially not in decent health. It's a time to celebrate her life. You are such a dumb, clueless ass.

  16. 16

Re: marlow – Yeah he's clueless. Says the one who doesn't think it will still be a sad time for her family. It doesn't matter how old she was, it's still sad to lose someone.

Rose: "It's been 84 years… and I can still smell the fresh paint. The china had
never been used. The sheets had never been slept in.
Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams. And it was. It really was…"

that's so weird, I watched Titanic yesterday

    RIP Gloria,, :( :(

It's not sad at all. She lived 100 years, she was blessed but after 100 years I'm sure she was ready.

Re: MP – There are some people who will never get to see their mothers turn 60 let alone 100. Do you see my point now Mr. Sanctimony? >(

  22. 22

sad? jeez, you get an Academy Award nomination at an age when almost everyone else is long dead, and it's sad? She claimed she still enjoyed regular masturbation as well. Party on, Glo!

  23. 23

    wow! 100 years! RIP Gloria

  24. 24

R.I.P. Ms. Stuart. You live a long and fulfilled life. My prayers and condolences to her family and friends.

  25. 25

why do the good always die so young

  26. 26

    Re: MP – Agreed!

  27. 27

Oh wow. They should've awarded her with that Oscar!

Re: M.t. Dickinson – It's Miss Sanctimony, asshole. What kind of man has a dolphin for an avatar? And you're completely missing my point. Whether it's 60, 80 or 100 it's never enough time. If you lost your mother when she was 60 your pain is the same as Ms. Stuart's children losing her at 100. It doesn't hurt any less. How old are you anyway? Perhaps our views are different due to your young age.

  31. 31

The end of the day, loosing anyone no matter what the age, is a hard thing to deal wit. Loosing my Nanna at 86, people said 'well she had a good life' I would gladly exchange everything I have for one more day with her. After they have passed, and you have said your goodbyes, then of course you celebrate the life they had, but the death is still a horrible thing to deal with.

That one role, which she is famous for is the tip of her acting career with over 50 films.
My thoughts go out to her friends family and fans.

Re: MP – I'm in my late thirties you and I don't care if you have Barny the Dinosaur as your Avatar you impertinent bitch. You're the one who's missing the point if you can't understand that passing away at 100 is not tragic it's an accomplishment and if you keep talk to people the way you did to me here I can assure you your death could come sooner than later :P

  33. 33

Re: backfire – it is sad because she was a lovely person not coz of her age you dick….

  34. 34

    Re: MP – i agree…

  35. 35

Re: M.t. Dickinson – if you don't get past 60 then of course that is even more sad but still at 100 it is sad to lose a loved one.

  36. 36

Re: M.t. Dickinson – threatening people is not classy and i gather MP wasn't claiming that Ms Stuart's passing was tragic just sad - for her family and friends who will miss her being around. For goodness sake…i got that and I'm still in my 20's.

  37. 37

Re: Babymama81 – First of all I wasn't threatening anyone dickwad I was warning her to watch the attitude because she was acting like a condescending ass who's dismissive over another point of view. You don't find that classy tell someone who gives a damn!

  38. 38

she died warm in her bed just like jack dawson said
