Vets make a good deal of money selling to pet owners. Good deals online cut into profit margins. They don't want patients ordering direct. They can't mark it up that way. You do have to go to a reputable company if you want to order online, and ensure that the purchase date hasn't expired. A lot of drugs close to expiry could be unloaded online.

Thank you for this information. Unfortunately it doesn't tell you that FRONTLINE flea medication, whether it is bought from a vet or online, is not working this year. My vet in Florida warned me that Florida fleas have become resistant to it and the manufacturer, Merial, will do nothing about it nor give you a refund for product already purchased. People all over the country have found Frontline to be ineffective, yet it is still on the shelves of stores and sold in vet's offices. Many vets will give you prescriptions for online pharmacies or lower their prices to be competitive and now we know which online pharmacies have been approved.

Thats true…..and the pet food sold in vet's offices are unhealthy. They are bi products with lots of water. I asked my vet about it and he didn't know what to say.
