Another Suicide Linked To Gordon Ramsay!

| Filed under: Sad SadGordon Ramsay

Wow! This is truly very sad.

Just last week, the body of Joseph Cerniglia was found in the Hudson River. Joseph had been a contestant on Gordon Ramsay's reality show Kitchen Nightmares and the police believe his death to be a suicide. As this report has come to light, sources have learned that Joseph was not the first person to kill themselves after being on one of Gordon's shows.

In 2007, Rachel Brown, who was a contestant on Hell's Kitchen, reportedly shot herself to death in her family's home in Dallas. This was one year after she cane in fifth on the reality show.

How awful! These poor people!

Our condolences go out to both of the families for their tragic losses.

are you implying that his character has something to do with these people committing suicide?????? you really are a bigger, fatter looser than I though………..

  2. 2

    How is this his fault?

  3. 3

they killed themselves. one has to take responsibility for their actions. no ahole tv chef can make you do it; you are bruised mentally to begin with.

  4. 4

I think your title is misleading. It makes it sound like they killed themselves because of Gordon Ramsey — or being on his show.. Typical scandalous Perez-style.. but we're talking about suicide and death here.. you should be more responsible, perez..ya hack.

  5. 5

It's not Ramsey's fault. the contestants KNOW how he is on the show. If you cannot take it, don't be on the show.

  6. 6

This is as bad as his story about Sarah Palin..claiming that she got boo'ed on Dancing with the Stars, when really the audience was boo'ing at Jennifer Grey's scores from the judges.

    Perez just makes BS up..

  7. 7

Wow just wow, where do I start. This is probably the worst blog ever!! First off "Kitchen Nightmares" is not a game show, this guy was not a contestant, his resturant was featured on the show and Gordon rescued his kitchen from going broke. Second off Rachel brown was murdered by an ex boyfriend with a shotgun, she didn't kill herself. I don't know what you are trying to imply by writing this dumb ass mis-informed article. Gordon Ramsay is a very great man. Get your facts straight.

  8. 8

you really cant blame one person for the fact that these people killed themselves i mean yeah its sad when somebody leaves us like that but to blame someone for being responsible for it thats just straight up disrespectful if these people chose to go the way they did thats their choice! you can't blame anyone for someone elses poor decision making

  9. 9

How in the hell is it Gordon Ramsey's fault that they committed suicide? If I were Gordon Ramsey I would sue your ass for defamation of character. He did nothing to cause the mental instabilities of these people. The fact that they lost on reality shows is not saying the host had any responsibility for it. In fact if you use your logic it means that if you got to McDonald's you become a hamburger. Stupid. Really stupid.

  10. 10

However sad it is, and it is. Gordon Ramsey has zilch to do with people offing themselves. Poor guy, it must be awful to even have people make a link between your show and people's decisions to die.

  11. 11

Why don't we connect all the suicides of your followers to you. I know there days I feel like shooting myself in the head after reading some of the crap you come up with.

  12. 12

Perez…..Your insinuation that the two deaths are because of their involvement with Gordon Ramsay is disgusting. I don't know anything about Rachel Brown, but I did watch the show and revisit with Joseph Cerniglia and his restaurant Campania….Because of Ramsay Joe was able to turn his restaurant around, pay off bills and produce the food to make his restaurant a success.
Having had multiple family members commit suicide (the last being my cousin on Veteran's Day)…It is not something that anyone should take lightly, nor blame someone else for the suicide.
It was very obvious from watching the shows that he was a good man, and was loved by many. My sympathy to his family and friends.

  13. 13

I have no idea if these suicides are related to the show, but Ramsay's treatment of his chefs is abusive. If someone was treated like that in the workplace it would be called harassment. I am not sure why we consider watching this absurd behaviour 'entertainment'.

  14. 14

With the exception of a terminal disease where a person will die a slow, painful and gruesome death, I have no sympathy for anyone that kills themselves. Boo-Fucking-Hoo!!! Nothing and I mean nothing can be that bad that you have to kill yourself. It's the chickshit way out. I do have sympathy for the family that now has to endure a lifetime of "why's".

  15. 15

she CANE in fifth? i would have thought perez would use spellcheck with a blog of this readership

  16. 16

@rosebud99 You do realize that all these people are signing up for the show right? That was the dumbest comment ever!! I for one actually enjoy his method of getting the best out of each chef, it's very entertaining and intense.

Re: bigpapadavid – cane is a word, it wouldn't come up on spellcheck. you are referring to proof reading - huge difference.

  20. 20

I really don't get what you have against Gordon Ramsay! You are always making negative comments about him! I agree with most of the comments left here. I find myself coming here less and less…

  21. 21

what does "she cane in fifth" mean Mario? douchebag edit fat boy

  22. 22

Re: rosebud99 – I absolutely agree with everything you just said.

Last week a contestant in a cookery show in Belgium called 'My Restaurant' also committed suicide, after he got loads of critics from the judges, his wife broke up with him and took their three children with her and his restaurant went bankrupt. And these are not the first suicides happening to people who take part in reality shows- a lot of people don't realize the impact that this can have on their private lives. Nowadays such contestants get 'psychological support' if they want to, but how professional and efficient is that?

  24. 24

Ive seen like two or three interviews with him and at first I though ah, just another arogant tv persona whatever. But then I saw I saw an episode of the show and another interview with the beautiful S. Vergara next to him on Leno I think, and he was so incredibly annoying and just plain mean. And the worst was he is so full of himself and has such an ego that he did not notice one freakin bit how uncomfortable she was every single time he leaned towards her and when he kept touching her. You can just see he is the type of guy who would cheat on his wife in a hearbeat. Pig.

  25. 25

Re: dxguy2001 – Every article I could find on Rachel Brown states she killed herself… in any case, like most people have said already, connecting Ramsey to these suicides is ridiculous Perez, even for your standards.
Re: rosebud99 – People SIGN UP to be on his show! They know exactly what they're getting themselves into! If you can't take the heat and all…

  26. 26

Wow, if I were Ramsay I'd be looking into seeing if this could be considered libel.
Your insinuation is completely irresponsible and wrong. You should be embarrassed.

They were on his show 3 years ago. If this could happen, people would kill themself over your bullshit weekly. You are the biggest hipocrit ever.

  28. 28

your one sick fuck to use these headlines…perez look in the mirror you need help..im a assume you were picked on growing up are overcompensating for it now. to make suck accusations is sad.

  29. 29

It is most certainly Ramsey's fault. Public humiliation does long term damage. Gordon would not last a day being talked too like that. Ramsey acts this way because he is biter about being hideously ugly.

  30. 30

    well Perez, or shall I say Mario;
I'm actually a "Fan" of your site, and the gossip news you put on - including the way you do it, but this is just gets really really stupid.
blaming someone for being suicidal or being the victim of suicide - tzztztz. I thought you are educated.

  31. 31

just so wrong, mario and his typos.

  32. 32

Fuck Gordon Ramsay what a pile of shit!

  33. 33

Mario… you are such a fucking low life… GR has nothing to do with their deaths.. so stop posting such stupid shit.. Karma is going to get you so bad

  34. 34

and gordon made them kill themselves? i dont think it works that way perez…..just sayin

  35. 35

"shot herself to death"? Nice use of the English language, moron.

  36. 36

Re: nverforgetsept11 – I don't recall anybody asking for your sympathy. Is that why you think people kill themselves? Because they want people to feel sorry for them? If so, you are an idiot. And it has nothing to do with bravery. These people don't kill themselves because they are scared to face another day. They do it because they are SAD. Sad and depressed and because they have a mental illness that likely causes a chemical imbalance in their brain. Can you imagine waking up every day and feeling absolutely miserable and you have no idea why? Imagine feeling that way for years and years. It is no wonder they choose not to live anymore. You should thank God every day that you don't have the same problem and just be grateful that you are healthy instead of criticizing a person who feels so low that they just don't want to live another day. You are a jerk.

  37. 37

NO ONE can FORCE someone to take their own life! NO one FORCED them to go on the show. I think it is terrible that people are trying to find a way to blame GR. People in life are mean, it is up to every person to choose how that deal with it. Suicide is a selfish way out!!!!!!

Just a PS they show LOTS of footage where GR is nice to ppl and that producers hype up the show!!!!

Recent nationwide reports show that middle age suicide has increased, the food service industry is fast paced and stressfull , appearing on Gordon Ramsey's show has nothing to do with these tragic deaths.

Perez, how do you rally against bullying in teen suicides yet wish to portray Chef Ramsey as the culprit?
