Oh No! Sean Penn's Haiti Settlement Torn Down By Storm!

So sad!

Following the devastating earthquake that shattered Haiti, Sean Penn put a lot of money and charity into creating a temporary settlement for those who were helping victims of the disaster. Unfortunately, his charity was spoiled as a storm over the weekend wrecked the entire place, destroying a hospital, pharmacy and many medical supplies. Sean and his team were forced to evacuate the camp and relocate to a club gymnasium in Port-au-Prince until the storm passed on Sunday. No injuries were reported.

Poor things! Hopefully, they'll be able to get everything back up and running soon. With Sean's dedication, we're sure it won't take them long.

Keep up the good fight, Sean!

    God works in mysterious ways…………

Fuck Sean Penn, he should have built sturdier structures instead of creating a shanty town. Too bad the storm didn't get him instead of the shelters.

Sean looks great for a 75 year old. WTF. All that money and he looks like that? Almost makes me happy for my little life. Both him and Madonna aged in dog years. They should have stayed together. They have so much in common.

I saw him partying in a bar sat. night in MI, while this town was being washed away. dude doesnt care.

My dad has volunteered with J/P HRO and it is a wonderfully run organization. He said, that considering the conditions, there could not have been a better set up. He was able to provide health care, free of charge, to thousands of Haitians and it was done with the utmost respect. The amount of time and passion that Sean Penn puts into it is unbelievable. He was there when my dad was there and my dad could not speak more highly of him. For those of you complaining about his lack of time commitment or inability to build sturdier shelters, I would suggest you go down there and try…he's doing more than you

there ARE WAYS TO BUILD STRONG STRUCTURES. Who helped build these structures? the first two pigs out of the three little pigs?

SEAN PENN isn't even there anymore and if he is sooooooo darn worried about his camp, why doesn't he use some of his own MILLINOIS of dollars to build a MUCH MORE STABLE living quarters and HOSPITAL like the WOmens Clinic that is only used a couple hours a day a couple days a week???
Sean Penn has enough money AND not to mention RICH friends to donate MUCH MORE $$$ instead of guilting people who have way less than him…
HMMMMMM just saying…. Where o where is Sean Penn, OUT PARTYING the night after his camp was swept away in a storm!!! GREAT GUY!!!

Re: hoochpit – A lil harsh!!! BUT Where o where is SEAN PENN now??? Where o where is Sean Penns money and rich friends?? His volunteers are working out of tents, months after earthquake you'd think they would have a MUCH better set up, especially the hospital (old one) an old mash tent with electrical cords hanging from everywhere, no ventilation for sick people with high fevers, spreading diseases in close quarters. and you are lucky if there is a working fan to circulate the 120 degree air in there..

Re: cocodettec – @cocodettec…If yur dad was there he muct be bling because it is total chaos at JP and nothing is organized what so ever.. HOSPTIAL has electricy cable running up and down and all over the floors, meds sitting all over a few different places, can't find anything you are looking for (why they lost all that wer in the hospital) gurnees propped up on medal horses and bins, IV's tiedd to polls, UNBELIEVABLY UNORGANIZED is how I would describe it… Yes they do the best that they can BUT with Sean Penn running it you'd think they would have a much more efficient way of running and doing things there.. The hospital is just an unsturdy MASH tent that gets up to 100-120 degrees with no ventilation unless they flip up the sides.. Most patients that come in sick have high fevers and they have 1 fan (that is sometimes working) and that is just a fan on a stand, nothing high powered..
As far as the volunteers they walk around wasting more time wondering what they are suppose to be doing than doing anything at all..Nobody seems to know what they are doing there, especially the non medical volunteers..

Conditions were and are now even more wretched. The work matters more than ever now. It's a hurricane and storm ridden seismic area. Populations still settle in disaster areas. Look at California and Florida, hurricanes and earthquakes just waiting to happen.

Ya know, I hate to say this, but this Haiti place is like cursed.
