Is This Real?!

| Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & True

We don't know if it's real, but if it isn't - IT SHOULD BE!

Check out (above) this alleged footage from a Cebu Pacific Flight, featuring the flight attendants instructing the passengers on the usual safety procedures by DANCING to an amazeballs mash-up of Lady GaGa's Just Dance and Katy Perry's California Gurls!

We LOVE it!

But are electronics supposed to be on that point in the flight?!

Tisk, tisk!

LOLs!

These ladies are awesome, but yeah I thought phones had to be off.

  2. 2

thats real! thats your typical local philippine flight……

  3. 3

great. we've become a species that can't pay attention to anything unless it involves silly dancing. indisputable evidence that darwin was correct.

  4. 4

This only works for foreing airlines where they "screen" the flight attendants! Lets just say I would shut my eyes and not watch if I saw some of the current Flight attendants doing this on American planes.

  5. 5

    Go Pinay Gurls!!!!!

  6. 6

    lol. That's cute.

  7. 7

Perez, it's only Cellphones and Laptops that get wireless signals that have to be off, lol.

  8. 8

    proofread butt wipe……….

  9. 9

I hate it when you don't speak English. Amazeballs is not a word.

  10. 10

most safety presentations are done while the plane is still on the ground, so it would be totally acceptable to have electronics on still. also, if this was filmed on a camera or video camera, that's not an issue because there are no signals it would interfere with.
and i definitely think this is real footage, which is totally awesome!

Re: judalon – agreed - and "But are electronics supposed to be on that point in the flight?!" is not a full sentence.

  12. 12

That is so ridiculous, are you supposed to take your safety seriously after the flight attentendents are shaking their tittays around like strippers? Give me a break.

  13. 13

I used to fly with PSA (Pacific Southwest Airlines: think uniform on flight attendant in Almost Famous) and we would do this type of thing all the time. That was when all the girls had a daily inspection and were honored to have the job. The jets even had a big smile painted on them. Since they are only on the taxiway, electronics don't interfere.
You notice the passengers ARE watching them, and not talking or reading. That is the main point!

  14. 14

    lame

  15. 15

this is great, they do this stuff while we taxi to the runway right?

  16. 16

Too funny and very original..i would for once watch them do their procedure. I never look at it anymore.. Glad to see airlines step outside the box for a change

Effing brilliant! I'd so fly that airline!

  18. 18

Love it! Most people don't pay attention to the pre-flight safety demo. This would certainly make people watch. You go girls!

  19. 19

The plain hasn't taken off Dumb Ass! Once they show you how to try to survive, they ask you to shut your phones, electronics, etc.

When was the last time you were on a plane?

  20. 20

isn't that part usually before you depart, while the plane is backing up out of the gate???

  21. 21

    Re: April 20th
    you sound like my Mom

  22. 22

Awesome!! I actually had a roommate once, who's a flight attendant, and many of times I got to witness him incorporate the classic Madonna Vogue dance moves into his pre-flight ritual. Hilarious.

  23. 23

that plane rocks!Much better than Madge AND Lady GAY GAY!!! Wonder what they do for Blue Balls?

  24. 24

    stoooopid!!!! gah.

  25. 25

It's cool! They made listening and watching FAs do safety procedures a little bit interesting. :)

  26. 26

You people are retarded. First off, the audio quality of the person on the PA is way too clear. Unless the PA speakers on the plane were BLARING, you wouldn't be able to hear him. And since it came across so clear, you can just tell it had been dubbed over. Same thing with the music.

Secondly, the camera is moving around way too much that suggests the plane is in the air. All safety demonstrations are done ON THE GROUND…what's the point of waiting until you are in the air if the plane crashes on take-off???

And for what it's worth, ALL electronics are required to be turned off…not just those with wireless signals. Notice how attendants make people stop using iPods? Exactly. However, it is likely that the attendants don't make you turn them off until after the safety demo. Or that's at least when they go down the aisle to check seatbelts and yell at the people who didn't turn them off in the first place.

    Overall, this video is FAAAKKE.

  27. 27

lol any hillbilly who has never flown before would prob die in case of emergency cuz they were too concentrated on the preformance ahahah

  28. 28

Re: Marilyn Monroe – No, moron. When did you fly last?? Do you not recall flight attendants asking for iPods to be off as well? They won't even let you put your phone in "Airplane mode." All electronics have to be off.

  29. 29

lol that's the first time I have ever watched the whole safety presentation. Good work, ladies.

  30. 30

This is all true and real. I remember a long time ago when I was in Manila, I saw a policeman who´s dancing while controlling the traffic. Singing and dancing are number one passion of the filipino people in the Philippines. Remember all those prisoners who are singing and dancing while in jail. I think it´s a kind of a projects in the Philippine, combining work and fun to make life more interesting.

  31. 31

    Re: PauliePooPoo
I guess it depends where you fly then… because I just flew back home on Tuesday and I was able to listen to my ipod. They did ask everyone to turn off cellphones and computers though, but there were alot of other people with ipods that were listening to them.

    32

Re: Avalen2010 – yeah the dancing policeman =)..cebu pacific has things like this eversince,i've always enjoyed flying with this airline because you never get bored…they always have games and stuffs…and this kind of thing is very common in the philippines..its some sort of exercise..also when you take a ship from manila to another city in the country the porters(people who assist the passengers) also dance before the ship leaves the harbor…and fyi, they give safety intructions before the plane takes off..

  33. 33

So retarded! I wish that flight attendant would wipe that shit eating grin off her face, she looks like a cheerleader. So stupid…

  34. 34

Re: Marilyn Monroe – Incorrect. My dad has worked for the same airline my whole life so I fly frequently. Even when I was younger and had a Discman or portable cassette I had to turn them off. It has something to do with the batteries, or the waves that they emit.

  35. 35

Re: Kiki_Canadian – You can turn them on when you're in the air, but not on take off or landing, and if they allowed them to do that, they weren't doing their job.

  36. 36

Re: PauliePooPoo – I agree that the sound quality is quite clear, but I wonder if they might have added audio to the video during editing or something.

  37. 37

U CANT TELL THATS REAL? I SEE THE GUY TAKING PICS OF THE ASIAN FLIGHT ATTENDANT. GET YOUR EYES CHECKED! NO IM NOT YELLING CAPS HELP ME SEE BETTER. NO PUN INTENDED TO MY ABOVE COMMENT.

  38. 38

next they'll be in bikinis with stripper boots
    way to go society

  39. 39

Re: CartmanJ – are you kidding me? perez is totally z-list, last time he flew was probably when his mom was in cuba and pregnant with him and came to america.

  40. 40

Oh P! It's totally true. I flew on this airline before. They didn't have the dancing flight attendants, but they had games, trivia, raffles. It was hilarious! Also, delicious snacks.

  41. 41

Re: carolhellton – stupid thing to say really. have you not seen all of the 'one night in…' events he has. I'm pretty sure to get from LA to London you have to get on a plane…

  42. 42

the cabin crew preformed a normal safety demonstration before take-off.
The dance version was not performed until the plane hit cruising altitude - a special rendition for those passengers who had failed to watch the first version. im a regular flyer of this airline and they have long (for many many years) instituted a lot of passenger entertainment programs such as in-flight games and prizes and a lot of us filipinos appreciate it. this new program, however, has raised the bar so much it has already garnered international attention.

  43. 43

cebu airlines does not have to follow faa rules. you can fly without any id. my cousin had only a credit card with no pic. asian flight attendants are attractive. no fat and old girls. finally their service sucks. tickets are cheap but if you are late for boarding, you pay for a new ticket.
