And here comes the law!

Russell Brand was arrested a few weeks back after he got in pap's face for trying to take a picture up fiancée Katy Perry's skirt, and he'll likely be finding out next whether or not he'll be slammed with a misdemeanor charge!

El Lay City Attorney spokesperson Frank Mateljian says:

"The case was sent back to LAPD for further investigation. Our office needs further information. A decision is expected to be made next week on whether we will be charging Mr. Brand or not."

Fingers crossed for you, bb!

We don't condone violence, but we understand you were just trying to protect your lady!

What do U think? Should Russell be charged for the scuffle??

Hell no he shouldn't be charged! The paparrazzi are getting out of control, and if it was anybody else this wouldn't be news. Good for Russell Brand!

  2. 2

If it's true that the stupid pap was trying to take an inappropriate picture of Katy, then Russell should get off easy. And judging by the video of the incident, the pap was exaggerating what really happened.

You are surely a big fat hypocrite. If it was someone else you be like throwing them down the tubes, but because is the troll boyfriend of yor new friend all of the sudden u find mitigating circumstances, what a dick!!! You surely was singing a different story when you got punch for using nasty language and making an ass of yourself, way to go pinky…

Wait, although he is a DOG, I wish he'd've RUN OVER the papparazi! MOST of those suckers deserve a lot more than even that!

  6. 6

WTF, did any of you even SEE THE VIDEO ? He was far in front of her, looking forward and he punched a RANDOM GUY who was not even CLOSE to her. One of the worst excuses ever made up by a "celebrity".

  7. 7

If they charge him that would be so unfair!

No, he shouldn't, but the pap should be charged with a sexual violation.

I think the Paparazzi should be charged with attempting to molest Katy. Trying to get a camera up a woman's skirt is molestation.

    Re: Fafnir

That would be the case if anyone were even trying to put the camera up Katy Perry's skirt, which if you watch the two different videos from different perspectives, you'll see no one was doing anything even questionable. It was an excuse cooked up by Perry and Brand so that they wouldn't get in trouble and Brand wouldn't have any issues with his citizenship after he snapped.

If you're in love with someone, then of course you're going to be very protective of that person. That's what love is. If another human being is trying to take a picture up their skirt that they plan to show to the whole world, I don't know how your emotional reaction to that would be anything but to push that person away. I think once you get into the territory of taking pictures up people's skirts, pushing is allowed.

Re: f*ckoff – Maybe, unless it happened just prior to the video and Brand just found out.

  16. 16

    yes he should.

How about the paparazzo? Isn't taking a picture like that (up skirt) against the law? How do these people have the right to do that?
I get that dealing with the paparazzi "comes with the territory" of being a celeb, but a line should be drawn somewhere in terms of "invasion of privacy" and one's body…hopefully Brand will prevail. What we he suppose to do? Just stand there and allow the pap to take an up skirt shot of his fiance??
