LeBeouf Vs. Muniz!

Back in 1998, when Frankie Muniz and Shia LeBeouf were both 12-years-old, they had a falling out - and Muniz was on top of his game!

It seems Shia hasn't moved past that. While the movie star was promoting Wall Street 2 on The Bert Show this week, Shia was asked about the fact that the last of his six movies have opening in first place.

"While that's flattering as hell, you could have put Frankie Muniz into any the movies I've been in and those movies would have still been number one," he responded.

The radio host wondered what he would say to Frankie if he approached him at a party.

"I don't go to many parties and I don't really hang out in Frank Muniz-type zones," LaBeouf replied. Then, he continued to refer to Muniz as "the king" and "the chief."

Wow! And, of course, Frankie got wind of it! He took to his Twitter to address the Shia.

Muniz Tweeted:

"Dear Shia Labeouf. It's getting creepy the fact that you can't stop talking about me. It's been 12 years now. I don't know you. Thanks."

Touche.

Shia was probably being sarcastic when talking about Frankie because he is obviously a has been. And Frankie should'nt have been an asshole about it but should have gotten on his knees and thanked Shia for putting his name in the press again because come on what has he done since Malcolm in the Middle.

  2. 2

    shia's a little bitch

  3. 3

I was listening to it live that morning…
Actaully it was pretty funny the way he was saying anything. There was nothing creepy about it at all

  4. 4

shia is such a spiteful asshole at times, I don't know how carey mulligan stands him

  5. 5

    Team SHIA!

Shia LaDouche really lives up to his name. If Spielberg didn't love you so much, you'd be working at Wal-Mart right now.

  7. 7

Really mature, Shia. Setting such a good example with bullying and drunk driving.

  8. 8

Is it just me? cus i dont see anything rude with what Shia said. Anyone who's seen Shia in interviews knows he's a silly person, thats just his nature….

  9. 9

Lol. Good response Frankie (although I think they're Both cool guys).

  10. 10

As much as I hate Frankie Muniz, I'd have to agree with him! The interviewer didn't even ask Shia about Frankie, why bring up a stupid feud that happened when you were 12 years old. Lol!

  11. 11

Frankie should just be happy someone mentioned his name.

  12. 12

remember when all they had going was "Even Stevens" and "Malcom in the middle" ??!! good times!

  13. 13

shia is so good looking and than you have washed up frankie who thinks hes the hottest shit ever

  14. 14

I think that Shia's comments about Frankie are back-handed compliments.

  15. 15

shia's always been a lying fucker. He used to club all the time, and act like the biggest dick. I'd fuck his girlfriend though

  16. 16

Frankie's forehead and hair look like a giant nipple

  17. 17

oh Shia as much as i like you….let go.

  18. 18

shia was being modest and funny. I used to like muniz but he handled that situation horribly. I'm glad he's a has-been.

  19. 19

shia's a douche. people i've talked to who were extras in his latest movie (being filmed in the detroit area) say he's a douche too– and hugh jackman is wonderful (which i don't doubt!) but just goes to show how much of a prick he is, the way bigger star is nice and he, the co-star, is just a brat. frankie might not have big projects out now, but he's enjoying his life out of the spotlight- why is that wrong? and i've met frankie before- really sweet and nice.

    20

    team shia(:
    i do not like muniz

  21. 21

"Frankie should just be happy someone mentioned his name." Seconded

  22. 22

IF anything it looked like Shia was telling everyone that Frankie is just as good an actor as he is, it didn't sound like he was insulting Frankie at all.

"you could have put frankie muniz into any of the movies ive been in and those movies still would have been #1"…thats a fucking compliment… Frankie needs to calm down.

  23. 23

And btw Perez, you misspelt Shia's last name.

  24. 24

Perez: "Shia was asked about the fact that the last of his six movies have opening in first place." The LAST of his six movies??? Umm..maybe you mean, 'his last six movies."

  25. Eilee says – reply to this

    25

you know frankie is just doing his thing ………..Shia go to therapy …..enough already!

  26. 26

    lovers spat?

  27. 27

    I love them both tbh.

  28. 28

I think Frankies statement was ridiculously childish and immature. I agree with most of you though, he should be counting his lucky stars his name was in the media at all in 2010!

  29. 29

Funny, everybody's saying Muniz is so nice. I saw him on some talk show a few years back and thought he was spoiled. He was 18 years old and spending all his money on cars, bragging about his luxuries and the fact that he took his underage girlfriend "everywhere" and apparently not saving a dime. Now look at him. He's not even 25 and he's balding and very average looking. All he ever had going for him was his cuteness because he had no acting ability. How is he even supporting himself?

  30. 7tizz says – reply to this

    30

Why is Shia LaBeouf famous again?

  31. 31

that hairdo's not doing Frankie any favors - but really, why is Shia such a big star?

  32. 32

Bitter much, Frankie? Go make another Spy Kids 5, reject.

  33. 33

Re: FemaleFilmMajor – Actually, Shia's gracefully accepting the compliment, i.e., the film was great, not me. But then he stoops to say that the film was so great that even a crappy actor wouldn't have detracted from its success. I admit it's clever, but a childish thing to litter what would have been pristine humility. Important distinction to recognize in storytelling, film-making, etc.

  34. 34

It sounds to me like he was giving him a compliment.. I know that some of you can read, right? Sounds like Muniz is just being an ass about it.

  35. 35

    Team Muniz…

  36. 36

Too funny, I was listening to it live and I could not for the life of me remember who Frankie Muniz was. Just to add to how much of a has-been he is.
PS the interview was actually really good.

  37. 37

Damn, Shia. Don't be such a prick.

  38. 38

Look, Shia, Malcolm In the Middle has been and will ALWAYS be infinitely better than Even Stevens.

This isn't about being humble. You have to hear this guy's tone as he says it. Pretty sarcastic, to me. And that wasn't the first time he's done that.

  39. 39

Frankie Muniz is a has-been. He should be happy someone who is actually successful is talking to him. I thought it was very nice of Shia to refer to him so highly, especially if they had a falling out. I thought Frankie's response was a little rude. Sounded like Shia maybe just misses a friend?

  40. 40

You would think it would be Frankie that would be bitter because he's a nobody and butt ugly. But wow..Shia is a bit weird

  41. 41

Re: NOLAgurl2010 – oh yeah, i think everyone here can read. you, however, have no reading comprehension. i'll make carrie from la words mine:

"Actually, Shia's gracefully accepting the compliment, i.e., the film was great, not me. But then he stoops to say that the film was so great that even a crappy actor wouldn't have detracted from its success. I admit it's clever, but a childish thing to litter what would have been pristine humility. Important distinction to recognize in storytelling, film-making, etc."

  42. 42

Re: misskeli – successful? really? honestly i think that if steven spielberd didn't like him that much he wouldn't even have a job on the first place.

  43. 43

I live in Boston and last week He was on a radio show here saying almost exactly the same thing. So is this the prepared speach you use to promote your movie? Obsessing at someone from 12 yrs ago? Shia always comes across as a douche in interviews, as if he can barely stand to give them. I hope you enjoy your time in the spotlight since it will be brief. Shut up and make another transformer movie dick.

  44. 44

Wow, those saying that he was complimenting Muniz must lack reading comprehension. The sarcasm and spitefulness is obvious.

And yes, Muniz may not be as successful as Shia nowadays, but he still has a career. He has 3 movies in 2010. Will they make him a household name again or make him millions and millions? Doubtful. But at least he's still got a career job.

That said, I love Shia LaBeouf. He's a good actor. But I think he's right, most of it is just cus he got lucky with the roles he got.

  45. Logan says – reply to this

    45

    Who is Frankie Muniz?

  46. 46

LeBeouf is on top now and its cruel to do that to Muniz publicly. LeBeouf should be grateful for his good fortune and leave it alone.

  47. 47

Re: Monika_Wirkkanen – hands down the best comment on this one

  48. 48

Re: Abbs5522 – Agreed! I can't even remember the last thing Muniz did…..and Shia's only being nice. If someone's complimenting you, take the fucking compliment!

  49. 49

    wow he hasnt aged well

  50. 50

Muniz is a bitch even if shia is sucking up

  51. 51

Wow he's such an asshole, not just this, but he comes across as an asshole everytime he opens his mouth.I'm sure he kisses Spielbergs ass 24/7 because he knows if he acts like this in front of him his career will be over. But anyways Frankie Munez ??? he's in a little "rock band" now, i guess, so he has completley left the hollywood scene ,i don't know why he would bring his name up, unless he cant get over something that happend in the past. Let it go !.

  52. 52

seems like Frank Muniz is overreacting here. Shia simply made a humble comment that he considers himself no better than Frankie Muniz. He seems to acknowledge that he got kinda lucky in hollywood.

And Frankie muniz should be flattered he was mentioned at all! Shia is a movie star. Frankie Muniz is a has-been child actor. Shia is not thinking about you Frankie, trust me.

  53. 53

Shia wins. he's not losing his hair.

  54. 54

Shia is turning out to be quite the douchebag

  55. 55

Frankie Muniz is a hasbeen now. Shia should just stay classy

  56. 56

Re: laurenanney – Yeah its funny that some stars develop grea reputations as professional nice people (like Hugh Jackman) and others develop BAD diva reputations like Shia. I've heard Madonna is really mean too, J-Lo, Xtina and a few others.

  57. 57

While I like Shia well enough, I agree with Frankie on this one. I mean if a celebrity were to mention MY name in a bad way, me being a nobody in the celebrity world who apparently should appreciate ANY recognition, I would be angry, not flattered. He could have just as easily said, "The film itself was what was great. A guinea pig in a tutu could have played my part and it would be just as good." Instead he decided to pull up an old feud which, after all his success, you would think he could have gotten over.

  58. 58

As far as I know, Shia wasn't being a prick about Frankie. I think Frankie over reacted or there is more to the story then what we know. I respect both of them and just to add my two cents in, Frankie is a drummer for a band called You Hang Up and still is pretty wealthy from side projects and stuff like that so he didn't blow all of it like most think. I honestly think though that Shia should go back to doing comedy but thats my honest opinion.

  59. 59

Why is this even on perez's website?? It's kind of pointless

  60. 60

    You people are dumb.
    .
Read the context of the exert. It has nothing to do with sarcasm. If you feel sarcasm, it's because you are LOOKING for it.
    .
He started off with a modest remark and continued down that path. It was a modest and humble approach.
    .
I guess your $80, 000 a year tuition really doesn't pay for itself and this is why America will always be a lesser nation 'outside' of it's corrupt corporate walls. Inside of these walls, you're all dumb, believing the world spins around you (americans).

  61. 61

spell much? you fat, disgusting pig

  62. Bree says – reply to this

    62

I really wasnt necessary to drag Frankie Muniz into anything when he has been out of the spotlight for some time anyways. Sounds like Shia seriously needs to move on and grow up. Frankie is right in this case.

  63. 63

Well, both are being pricks. Muniz makes me laugh. I like that he said - "it's been 12 years now…" followed by "I don't know you…" Muniz, I think the words you're looking for are: "Thank you."

  64. 64

    Shia sucks

  65. 65

Re: gnarly8 – I LOVE THE PUP PUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHIA NOT A BIG STAR HE STILL GOT THE KID CUTENESS BUT THAT FADES SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON. BUT YOU HAVE A VALID POINT. STILL………….I LOVE THE PUPPY!!! WHERE CAN I GET ONE?

  66. 66

    Re: citizen24

You should listen to the interview. You know, context?

  67. 67

    wow Frankie hasnt aged well

  68. 68

i dont understand… that seems like a complement to me

  69. 69

haha wow. BURNNNN.. that was catty on Shias part but I love him anyway. Also how are some people not seeing the sarcasm. It screams sarcasm.

  70. 70

Yeah, really not a big deal. I love Shia. Not a fan of Frankie or his acting. He always seemed like a dick in interviews. Muniz will probably not have a career in showbiz for much longer -he never matured from a 12 yr old's body or voice.

  71. 71

Shia's got a gem in Carey Mulligan by the way, she is incredibly beautiful.
Wasn't Frankie engaged to 41 yr old, a few years back???

  72. 72

Re: peet258 – carey is icky

  73. 73

………….uhh is frankie muniz serious!!?!? shia is effing hilarious and muniz should be glad he got a name drop!

  74. 74

Ok I know this is a late comment but…come one "Frankie" WTF? Whose going to take a dumb fuck named Frankie serious? I mean clearly this kid is jealous of the good looking man Shia has become…for the record…Shia is in the category of Harrison Ford, Brad Pitt and Bruce Willis…and Frankie is the Screech, Jim Carey, David Spade, Adam Sandler, and Rob Schneider, among other fuglies category…sure some of them have money…and some are just wealthy…but would you be happy to fuck any of them? I mean for the money…maybe…but I would do Shia for free. And those are my two cents…so fuck you very much! Lunch bitch!
