Eve Makes A Video For Gay Youth

It’s been decided. On October 20th, 2010, we will wear purple in honor of the 7 gay boys who committed suicide in recent weeks/months due to homophobic abuse in their homes at at their schools. Purple represents Spirit on the LGBTQ flag and that’s exactly what we’d like all of you to have with you: spirit. Please know that times will get better and that you will meet people who will love you and respect you for who you are, no matter your sexuality. Please wear purple on October 20th. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and schools. RIP Tyler Clementi, Asher Brown, Seth Walsh, Justin Aaberg, Raymond Chase, Billy Lucas and Cody J. Barker (picture not shown). You are loved.

Perez how dare you comment on bullying. You are such a hypocrite. You are by far the queen of all bullying, yet you want other people to stop. You cant say that shit. I am pro-equality and you sir, well its just….saddening. Also I do not agree with the approach to these suicides. Telling them it will get better….that's not what we should be doing. It should be an attack on laws/rules/regulations in school environments etc to punish acts of bullying. THE BULLIES ARE THE ISSUE. Lets fix that problem before we have any more suicides. You may not beat anyone up, but verbal abuse, name calling, trash talking, etc is way worse and tears a person apart inside. THAT IS WHAT YOU DO. I'm very sad that you are fighting for something, that you are the leader of, but hey you get paid for it, so does that make it alright?

Wow! How many more people that we never knew were " Pro-gay" before will be jumping on this bandwagon? Now every has been will be making a video. Why everything in this country has to become about self-promotion and publicity???
The video thing is beautiful, but somehow It is starting to lose the spirit and becoming a joke. Don't make people want to kill themselves.

These people should be telling ALL youth, whether gay or straight that suicide is never the answer. Many of the impressionable teens are starting to think that if you aren't gay you aren't worth saving.

As much as the redneck republican trash here likes to say that it's popular to fight for gay kids being bullied and stars do it for publicity ,just look at the violent and dismissive responses here and you will know how important it is.
