How Did Non-Twins Play Twins In The Social Network?

Believe it or not, The twins who play the Winklevoss twins in The Facebook Movie The Social Network are NOT twins at all, in fact, they aren't technically two different people.

The Twins Winklevoss are played by the same actor, Armie Hammer, from the shoulders up, but one of the twins is played by actor Josh Pence (from the shoulders down).

How did they pull this off? Here's what Josh Pence had to say about it:

"It was shocking at first. He said now, obviously these are identical twins. They're going to want to make them true to the story. In some way your face is going to be morphed. . . . once I got over my ego, it was a no-brainer."

For 10 months, the two actors worked with acting coach Cameron Thor to master subtle movements and speech patterns that the genetically identical twins would have in common.

There you have it! Two different actors, a morphed face, and extensive twin training! We think the end result was very impressive.

Did U think the Winklevoss twins were actually twins when U saw the movie?

"…n fact, they not technically two different people."

Once again, Mario fails to grasp the basic tenets of grammar.

  3. 3

Why not just do it the way they always used to… like with Lindsay Lohan?

  4. 4

    I did actually…

I totally thought they were twins, no question! Wow, they did a really good job! Man, that ruined my fantasies with those twins. Armie Hammer is HOT…he should have twin brother!

I knew their face shape was different. But I knew it was the same actor because you said it Perez. I didn't know all that work went into it though. He's hot!

they all look the same for me

"they not technically two different people"? What?

  9. 9

I knew it was the same person, but didn't know it was a different person? That's confusing… plus they had the same exact voices.

That has got to be one of the dumbest casting ideas ever. How about this? Cast real-life identical twins? Could've saved some money on all that computerized mods. What they did made no logical sense whatsoever.

Re: April_Rain – well ok, name a talented pair of acting twins in their twenties

that makes no sense at all!! then again this is Perez Porkface reporting this "news"!! stupidity!!

I knew they weren't twins b/c you SAID they weren't awhile ago….but it sure was nice seeing two of Armie Hammer! YUMMY!!!

You make it sound like one person playing twins is something amazing, Hayley Mills played twins in the parent trap back in the 60's, Lindsay Lohan played twins in the remake, and they didn't need fancy computer work to manage it either.

that just sounds creepy and more complicated than it shouldve been. shouldve just found 2 actors who kinda look alike

Barbara, you fat pig, do you proof anything before you post? fucking MORON

I wondered if they were but figured they weren't since they looked SO much alike
