Sounds good! His voice in the pop songs is so god awful nasal.

  2. 2

This blog has been so boring lately….gay teen suicide hysteria, late stories, and random uninteresting posts. Stop trying to be relevant, fatso, it'll never happen. Get back to gossiping and making fun of people. Thanks.

  3. 3

Um…I believe that before he was a JoBro he was a Broadway performer…duh he's got a classical voice

  4. 4

    Errr….a link would be helpful….

  5. 5

Wow. I am truly impressed. Why doesn't he sing like this more often instead of his usual way? Honestly, his pop voice usually sounds somewhat empty and shrill, and like he's straining on the higher notes. Here he sounds great. Just admit you've passed puberty, Nick, and you have a deeper voice now. It's okay.

  6. 6

he always leaves me speechless with his Les Mis voice. always. he sounds so different. i'm such a proud fan whenever i see these videos.

  7. 7

    "classical music"?????
    It's Musical Theatre!

  8. 8

He was a Broadway performer as a child. Hes' an all- around talented performer and musician.

Musical theatre is NOT "classical music."

  11. 11

mediocre at best. quite bad, actually. He stole this role from someone actually worthy of it.

  12. 12

    Wow he is good.

  13. 13

well it's good to know he'll always have musical theatre to fall back on once his teen idol days are over, which should be about any day now.

  14. 14

He actually does have a stunning voice, I'd know this if I were a fan, but kudos nonetheless.

  15. 15

That's amazing. He looks like a young Josh Groban.

  16. 16

Amazing! That's a hard song to sing with that wide range, but he did it perfectly!

  17. 17

Wow! Very impressed! Way to go Nick!

  18. 18

Wow. such a beautiful voice! I'm amazed… and a little taken back!

  19. 19

I am a musical theater major and Les Mis is not classical. It's closer than other shows, but still, not quite. There are some shows (mostly older, from 1950's and back) that are musical theater AND classical. It is indeed possible.
Either way, I was truly, truly impressed by this performance. Nick sounds AMAZING on this song! Anyone know how his acting is?

  20. 20

    allaround talent.

wow his voice really transformed during puberty from a nasaly tone to a much more mature and refined voice

  22. 22

that's not classical music, it's musical theatre DUMB ASS!!

  23. 23

    Fantastic! Cheers!

  24. 24

Not surprised at all. The Jonas Bros have often been dissed and under-rated.

  25. 25

saw him 2nd week that he was in the show. He was mediocre through most of the performance. He was nervous and his voice wasn't that strong. He did get better at the end however. This is far superior than the performance I saw. Good for him! He found his voice.

  26. 26

it's a sad testament to our contemporary music industry that we are shocked when our performers actually sound good live…..

  27. 27

nick is the only jonas with actual talent. ive been saying this for years, and with this video it is finally proven. Ditch the other two nick this is INCREDIBLE.!

  28. 28

I know this sounds good on the Vid but I was there and he was the weakest person on the stage. It was fine but compared to the rest of the cast he stood out and it wasn't until Michael Ball (original Marius) came on in the finale and sang One Day More did we hear how Marius should have sounded. Jonus brother rumoured Girlfriend Samantha was incrediable though.
If you watch a recording of One Day More you'll see what I mean

  29. 29

Not really suprising, he never gets the credit he deserves because people are so judgemental. And, of course he's not going to have a voice like Michael Ball, he's 18! And that's his first role in musical theatre since he was 9!

  30. 30

omg that doesnt even sound like him?? his voice is usually high and squeaky? wow!

  31. 31

INCREDIBLE! I listened to that several times. He had a brilliant voice for an 18 year old. Where on earth has he been hiding that voice? Blown away. I love Les Miserables, hopefully they will release the full performance on DVD.

  32. 32

lol yea… this is not classical, and broadway does NOT mean classical lol he does have a great voice in this though, even though I am not a JoBro fan at all, this is good.

  33. 33

I was there. He was dreadful. Looked terrified and constipated, it was embarrassing to have him on stage with proper performers with actual talent.

  34. 34

    Pretty impressive.

  35. 35

He and me are going to do it :)

  36. 36

    oh my gosh. so stunning

  37. 37

I, for one, am not surprised at all. The Jonas Brothers are far too underrated. Believe it or not, they are all almost as talented as Nick. I will be the first to admit, in SOME of their songs, Nick's voice is nasally and strained. But, if you listened to more than 2 songs, or some live videos, you would see he really IS very talented, a long with Joe and Kevin, too.

  38. 38

I'm happy to see more people are starting to see that he can actually sing.

  39. 39

i think he sounds great, but this isn't really a "classical sounding" voice… fyi.

  40. 40

Les Miz isn't classical. It's poperetta.

  41. 41

    Mmmm orgasmic

  42. 42

the jonas brothers are under rated
they have the image if "teenpoppy" but there self titled album is really good
and they write alot of there songs
props too nick he was really good

  43. 43

I am legit not a jobro fan, but this is truly impressive.
He needs to take THIS voice and make a career out of it.
I am truly surprised that he is this good.
All the jobros are stereotyped for being jonas brothers, and they don't even show their real talent… Like this.
    Good on you Nick!
I hope to see more of this wonderful singing!

  44. 44

that was insane… way to show up your bros

  45. 45

wow he sounds amazing! so much different than he sounds in his other music!

  46. 46

    who knew he was gay?

  47. 47

well he was on broadway before he was in the band. idk why he does that awful squeeky nasal thing to his voice with the brothers cuz his actual voice is sooo beautiful.

  48. 48

Wow I'm impressed…Best Marius ever? Definitely not, Michael Ball anyone? lol…a little young in my eyes as well, there is no way that this kid could have enough life experience to play a soldier who has lost all his friends in war and is crazy in love. I dont think his experience as a pop star counts lol. He needs another 5 years or so to get enough maturity for the role….I always thought he was the more talented Jonas, but this took me by surprise…I definitely did not expect that out of him…he's normally so whiney! He needs to drop those dopey brothers of his. I really think he did a respectable job. I was confused by his casting as well and figured his name got him the job.

  49. 49

he IS AMAZING in everything he does. .. fuck the haters

  50. 50

Wow who knew he could actually sing??!! Why the fuck does he sing like a dying duck when he's with his bro-band? Those boys will earn a wider fan base when (and if) they stop making the veins in their neck explode every time they release a track.

  51. 51

I watched it and the whole show was absolutely amazing!
I really liked nick singing this, and also a little fall of rain, but I hate to say it in other songs he was way outsung by the likes of ramin karimloo and alfie boe, oh and norm lewis

I think he did real good, just not up to the standard of some of the other performers on the night!

I am a huge Nick Jonas fan but I didn't know he could sing like this. Amazing! He is very talented.

  54. 54

wtf this is weird on him :S

  55. 55

WOW! He reminds me of Josh Groban! Incredible!!

  56. 56

LOVE NICK JONAS! He was so nice in person and an inspiration to me being a fellow Type 1 Diabetic.

I would love to see him on broadway! :)

  57. 57

even though I really admire Nick for his efforts, this is no classical voice. it's a loose imitation. it works for musicals but would ruin opera.
but he is a beautiful baritone, true. :) much better than the nasal voice he's accustomed us to.

  59. 59

Nick Jonas is amazing, his voice in Les Mis is amazing too, I'm a big fan of the Jonas Brothers and it's about time they got recognised for their talent as musicians. I love his normal singing voice too and he did Broadway as a child so he is re visiting his past. Well Done Nick x

  60. 60

Not suprised at all! No one ever gives Nick Jonas enough credit. He is so talented at everything he attempts
