Usher "Disappointed" With His Momma

Three years ago, Usher strutted his stuff down the aisle and married his former stylist, Tameka Foster. Today, Tameka is no longer Mrs. Usher and has the gold-digging goodies to prove it.

Someone who saw this coming from the start was Usher's mother, who boycotted his wedding in protest of her son's decision. Usher revealed in an upcoming interview with Vibe that her decision to avoid his nuptials still "disappoints" him.

Though mother and son have since reconciled, the singer still holds some resentment for her not being there. He explains that he "wouldn't do that to my child" and insists "parents should be able to have unconditional love for their children and their decisions, regardless of how they feel."

Yeah, but, she was right all along! So maybe you should have just listened to your momma!

Usher is right, most marriages end in divorce now days & it takes a few times for something to stick. The future is uncertain & people should love kids for who they are no matter who they are or who they marry - this could be thought on SEVERAL terms. I'm surprised Perez wouldn't support Usher's statement, seeing as it applies even more to gay marriages!! Parents need to love & support their kids, thru the good AND bad times.

  4. 4

i would never do that to my kid either. mom's are supposed to love and support you.

  5. 5

Oh fuck off Usher… your mom was right all along. You should kiss her feet and ask for her forgivness… idiot

Easier said than done. No, parents don't have to watch their child walk off a cliff, but they do need to catch them when they fall.

It takes a few times to stick?? What kind of ignorance is that? The likelihood of divorce only goes up with each subsequential marriage.

Hard to say what the right thing to do is here….the mom shouldn't feel forced to show up in what looks like support of a marriage if she doesn't feel that way….however I can see from the child's perspective thinking your mom should be there.

I think he's pissed because mama was right.

he is right and you are an idiot Perez! that bitch should of just bit her tongue and attended her sons wedding no matter how she felt. just like so many parents of gay kids should hold their tongues and support their gay teens no matter what… people need to support their children whether they agree with it or not…

Prolly married her to piss mom off to begin with.

My comment didnt make the cut…guess it would scar all the lovely parents here tonight….unconditional love is the second line to "once upon a time" and "they lived happily ever after" Spoiled, rotten kids dont deserve to be loved unconditionally and they sure as hell have no business "reminding" a parent of something they shoulda done, unless its as they are being helped out the front door with a foot in their ass.

He probably blames his mother for the marriage not working out…If he was so close to his mother before, and she didn't support the marriage, it is likely that had a huge effect on the couple's friction throughout the relationship.

    He's right.

what IS it with all these R&B singers, who try to put out this hard image, always talking about their mothers ??? always dragging their mom's into everything ??? the dream just did it, when he broke up recently…"my MOM says I'm a nice guy" or something like that, puffy's mom used to always be around, NeYo's Mom was just on , oh that Oprah wannabe tranny looking NYC radio woman's show. What is her name, I forgot. anyways…it's weird. maybe the Mom, or Usher's abnormal dependency on her, that broke the marriage up in the first place. Like, you left Mommy a long time ago, hopefully. We like the music, leave Mommy out of it, thanks. And why would you talk to the media about your relationship with your Mom. That's kind of cold, and also really embarrassing.

  16. 16

yeah whatever Usher, shame that your mother didn't teach you fidelity because you were cheating on your wife all the time so if she's taking everything you've got now , GOOD FOR HER.

IF YOUR RAISED RIGHT….AND LOVE AS YOU SHOULD! LOVE IS UNCONDITIONAL. WE LIVE, WE LEARN. IF HE WOULD HAVE LISTENED TO MAMA AND NOT MARRIED HER, HE WOULD HAVE ALWAYS WONDERED, RESENTED HER FOR THAT. LET UR KIDS BUMP THEIR HEADS AND LOVE THEM ALL THE SAME!
