Cheryl Tweedy has recently come under serious criticism - and even been sent death threats - over her decision to axe X Factor hopeful Gamu Nhengu before the upcoming live show, and now the reality contestant is being forced to leave the UK!
According to immigration officials, Nhengu's mother, Nokuthula Ngazana, breached the conditions of her visa by accepting work benefits that she is not supposed to receive, and now she and her family must return to Zimbabwe or face deportation!
According to the UK Border Agency:
"The applications made by Miss Ngazana and her family were considered in line with the published immigration rules. Miss Ngazana’s application was refused as it did not meet all of the conditions for approval. Her family, who had applied as her dependants, were therefore also refused. Where people are found to have no right to remain in the UK we expect them to leave voluntarily."
Gamu's exit has elicited a huge backlash from fans, many of whom have filed complaints with ITV, claiming that produces forced Chezza to axe the contestant because of her immigration status - and some are even threatening to boycott the show unless she is brought back on!
And so many (pictured above) have even camped outside her home - just to show their support - to the extent that her street has been shut down by the police!
However, Nhengu herself seems to have recovered from getting cut from the competition, and says:
'Thank you so much to everyone. I'm overwhelmed by the support. The whole experience has been amazing and I'm doing fine. I've been overwhelmed by the response.'
Good attitude, bb! We're sure things will work out for you!
Just keep that head held high!
These are realities of life some time, and hopefully this immigration mess can be sorted out and Gamu will be able to focus once again on her singing!
And hopefully all of those MORONS will relax and stopping harassing our beloved Chezza!
