We can kind of see the resemblance!

Al Pacino will be portraying Phil Spector in an upcoming HBO film, written and directed by David Mamet.

The film is still in early development so it has yet to be confirmed whether or not it will cover Spector's murder trial and sentencing to 19 years to life.

We hope it does though, because we'd love to see Pacino wear those crazy wigs.

What do U think of the casting choice?

Al Pacino is looking funny, I think he should lay off the botox and/or whatnot already. But anyway, just give him the Academy Award already. How about a Nobel Peace Prize, too !!!

Re: ShoeWhore – He does have one for "Scent of a Woman" 8) Anyway I thought he nailed it as Dr. Kavorkian but this should be interesting to watch.

well Al has the hair plugs

Oh yeah, perfect choice. I wish Al would just be himself and get rid of the old lady hair. It really isn't at all attractive.

Okay…….so who's playing Phil Spector when he's young???? A 70 year old man can't portray Phil as a 20-something guy during the '60's when he's cranking out all his big hit records! More importantly, who will be playing the Ronettes? Or is this movie not even about his early life, just the murder of Lana Clarkson? If they're not even telling his whole life story, this movie will suck because the story has to be told from the beginning to explain how this guy got so weird.
