adam lambert tones glamnation tour in malaysia

Since his concert in Malaysia on Thursday has been met with protest from Malaysian Islamists, Adam Lambert has decided to tone down the spectacle of his show.

He took to his Twitter to give the deets!

Glamert Tweeted:

While I don't believe that my glamnation tour is in any way offensive I have agreed to make a few minor adjustments out of respect for the Malaysian government. Looking forward to a fun show.

Does my show "promote the gay lifestyle"? It promotes living ANY lifestyle that includes the freedom to seek love and intimacy. Gay, straight, bi, young or old. It's all inclusive.

plus, what's THE gay lifestyle? There isnt just one. There are so many different kinds of gay people. We have a variety of different lifestyles. There's not only one lifestyle lived by straight folks. Generalizing….

Truly sad, but we're glad he's not putting himself in harm's way in a foreign country.

We know what he stands for! Equality for all!!

    Appeasement rarely works.

  2. 2

Than why is he performing there in the first place if it undermines his ideals?! I agree with him but honestly put your $$ where your mouth is!

Is there any artist these days with ANY integrity?

  3. 3

    then*

  4. 4

"freedom to seek love and intimacy. Gay, straight, bi, young or old"

    Sounds like a pedophile.

  5. 5

What is this talentless turd doing on a celebrity website? His claim to fame is that he lost a TV karaoke contest.

  6. 6

I'm so happy you're supporting Adam now, perez!
    Equality for all indeed!

  7. 7

If he's so open to show his true self.. and his shows are over the top.. why wasn't he his true self during AI?

  8. 8

Shit always happens in Malaysia. I remember when they called Beyonce's dancing "too western" and when they edited out Madonna's "Hung Up" opening act at the Grammy's a few years ago for Malaysian TV because it was "immoral" because she wore a leotard and that her LEGS were showing. Oh yeah, and "Glambert" is such an emo scene poser whose music sucks balls.

  9. 9

"A few minor adjustments"? Plan on making "many adjustments" Better yet Adam, don't even go there. Don't compromise yourself for these fools.

  10. 10

He should have cancelled the whole thing after comments like that! Promoting a gay lifestyle?! Seriously, why would anyone still want to perform in a country where being gay is considered a crime?!?! Cancel it Lambert, these folks need a lesson in human rights!

Go Adam! I absolutely love him.
He was 'himself' during American Idol. He just wanted to keep the focus on the competition and his talent during that g-rated show, NOT his personal life and/or his sexuality. I support him 100000%!!!!!!!!!!

The time is SOO more than right for an international pop/rock singer/sex symbol who is hugely talented, charismatic, simultaneously fierce, fun, and gracious and GAY.

Adam Lambert will tone down the sexuality of his performance in Malaysia (which for him will likely mean not kissing the bassist) just like other entertainers have toned down the sexuality of their performances there (which for them meant dressing less sexy). The thousands of fans that come see him there (and there will be thousands - you can bet on it, all you crazy haters) will love him. because the people do not always = the government.

Re: Abbylynn – He compromise himself for his fans and out of respect, not for people who can't handle gay.

  14. 14

Re: PerezTheHypocrite – ???? How is it pedophile seek for love and intimacy no matter how old you are?

  15. 15

Adam's show is about love for everyone - there is very little he will need to change. I'm glad he didn't cancel and disappoint his many fans.

  16. 16

Never mind Malaysia, this dude is way too gay for anywhere! How does this guy expect to have a career when even other gay people think he's too gay? He's creepy…dude is promoting NAMBA

  17. 17

I'm all for supporting GLBT people, but you also have to respect different countries and their beliefs as well. Toning it down won't hurt any artist. Others have changed their wardrobes to perform in more conservative countries. Support your fans by just being there!

Ah the last resort of ignorant homophobes, shouting pedophile as if anyone is listening to your nasty hatred. STFU. Adam is thoughtful and well spoken, respectful while not ceding any meaningful ground to the resident religious extremists. Local Malaysian news is reporting that the tickets have sold like crazy, Adam will be playing to a sold out crowd of 10,000 Malaysians thrilled that he's willing to put a few more clothes on his dancers and forego his occasional playful kiss with his bass player. And LOL it's just a kiss, it's for fun and because the fans scream for it, LMAO at anyone pontificating about integrity while talking about a pop concert that is in large part one big dance party.

reminds me of my Bill. Bill Kaulitz

  20. 20

if he wanted to make a point he shouldn't perform there
    this is so sell out

It looks like its going to take a lot of toning down.

  22. 22

He looks exactly like asian pop/rock stars. Unless he does something like fellate a band member I don't see how that's promoting the gay lifestyle. And even then, you could write that off as cocaine, not gay.

  23. 23

    'THAT'S SO GAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  24. 24

sounds like you know all about pedophilia

  25. 25

hey, Mario! Get your HEAD out of your ASS and get things right! there are no such things as "Islamics" it's MUSLIM you gay mother fucker! Oh and BTW, they're not Malaysian Muslims, they're either Malaysian or Muslim. -.-
and TBH, I agree with Malaysia. I don't have anything against gays, but I do think that he could tone down his openess to sexuality. It's repulsive (much like you) and no one should be subjected to such horrid bullshit as this stupid site you're running. (If, in fact, you're even running it)

  26. 26

GOD, I LOVE THIS MAN !

  27. 27

    Perez you rock right now!!!
