beyonce reportedly in talks to headline glastonbury festival 2011

After already making headlines today for being named Fuse TV's Sexiest Video Hottie of the year, reports are now suggesting that Beyonce may headline the 2011 Glastonbury Festival.

A report by the Daily Star indicated that she spoke with Michael Eavis, the event boss for Glastonbury, about the possibility of headlining the event.

Here's what a source had to say about Beyonce performing at Glasto:

"After all the furore over Jay-Z playing Glasto, it went off brilliantly and he had a wonderful time. Beyoncé was, of course, in the wings soaking up the atmosphere and told everyone how happy she was at Worthy Farm. Getting her to perform in her own right seems the ideal next step."

Do U think they should bring Beyonce on to headline Glasto 2011?

Yeah, Beh! I love you, but where is your new single at baby? You said 3 weeks, it's been 4…. Just sayin.

Really?!? She's great but she's not Glastonbury, JayZ was OK but he's more iconic and controversial.
Reality is people have to register (with photographic evidence so they cant be sold on) for Glastonbury tickets before they can even buy them… the festival has a huge following and it's because people know what to expect! Why change the format to pop… if people want that then go to party in the park or T4 on the beech!
Not saying she'll be booed off the stage or anything, it'll go down well i'm sure. But if the festival carries on like this then they'll loose the majority of their audience. I'm going to benicassim anyway this year, line up's amazing!

and the ticket sell decline in…….. her music sucks!!! they dont even play it on the radio after a few weeks. it gets trashed.

Eavis has lost it - and has done for a while - yeh people will still go for now because like australias big day out - its the atmosphere and the whole 3 days you go for - not just the headliner. and yes there will be a crowd because you want to get your spot for whatever comes before and after the headliner! Jay Z was a mistake and the majority of people there thought so - its effin glastonbury and she is not big enough or have enough stage presence in the british market to headline! i think people forget that!

who gives a shit about this festival?! if it ain't happening here we don't give a fuck.

I hate her legs… they always make her look like a walking turkey.

Do your own tour and stay away from rock festivals. No real fan of music wants to hear you lip sync at Glastonbury.

Re: savagesomnio – Really? Because everyone I knew that saw Jay Z at Glastonbury loved it, it was an iconic performance and the whole crowd as far as I could see were loving every second of it. And Jay Z performing was down to Emily Eavis not Michael. It was a far more interesting headliner than the bland predictability of the likes of Coldplay, Kings of Leon or Oasis.

no, not at all. I love her and she should definately play but not as a headliner. She's not the right scene and people wouldnt go for it. Jay-z was a completely different story, hes not a pop act and hes controversial and has enough star power to pull it off. Beyonce just wouldnt draw in the Glastonbury crowd like that at all. Sorry babes
