Boy George Says Culture Club Reunion On The Way!

It's really going to be a happy new year come 2012 for all you Culture Club fans!

In honor of the band's 30th anniversary, Boy George has confirmed that the whole gang Roy Hay, Mikey Craig, Jon Moss and Sam Baker will get back together, eight years after they've split. George sounds pretty excited about the reunion, especially since it's happening before he gets too old! He explains:

"We're definitely doing it, yeah, yeah, in 2012. Our D-Day is April 30, which is the same day as our first ever single release, White Boy, and yeah, we're doing it, it's going to be great fun…If we don't do it now we'll do it when we're 60, which will be really tragic. In fact, when I do this tour next year I will be 50 officially, because I'm 50 on the 14 of June - in eight months time!"

Excellent!

Though George wouldn't offer anymore deets, it's thought that the band will be hitting the studio early next year to begin a new album and a comeback tour is also in the works!

We're excited! How about you?!

Ew! I enjoyed a lot of 80s music but Culture Club wasn't one of it's shining moments.

I guess someone needs to make a comeback to pay for legal costs.

he's only still famous cuz he's weird and always has been - who ever hears about the rest of them?? maybe Europe…..IDK……..

I LOVE The Culture Club!!! I grew up in the '80s and really miss the music from back then…The Culture Club, Michael Jackson, Prince, Bonnie Tyler, Cyndi Lauper, Tiffany, Phil Collins, Bryan Adams, Janet Jackson, Chicago, REO Speedwagon, Toto, The Erythmics, Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, etc…I don't there has been another decade where music was as good as it was in the 80s! (Except for maybe in the '50s when Elvis burst onto the scene!)
I only wish I had been a teenager in the 80s instead of a little kid!!!

Yeah I can't condone supporting any maniac that keeps male slaves in his home and is a criminal. Once again you have nothing bad to say about a gay person. This man is despicable and anyone who supports that is a crook. Did you forget about his criminal past or just like to advertise this because it has to do with the gay community??????????

Culture Club was the 80's for me!! Enjoyed their music immensely and went to their concert in 1984. Would LOVE to see them again!

Their silky soul was always a treat for the ears and very well produced. That whole band were fine, tight musicians. It's about ruddy time. I never understood why they didn't stick with the music (that brung them) instead of getting so horribly indulgently sidetracked. If it's as good as the former stuff, folks will be humming and dancing along again.
