Behold The Future Of Pop Music

| Filed under: Music MinuteTech Talk

Be afraid. Be VERY afraid!

What you are about to witness is a pretty scary, but also rather innovative. You are about to see the world's first robotic pop star, one Miz HRP-4C. She sings, she dances (in sync with her own human dancers) and she captivated the crowd with her lifelike finesse.

We're petrified of her, yet we can't look away!

Check out the amazing technology of HRP-4C! (above)

AMAZING. Her development team should be more than happy with the result.
Clearly their intentions arent to use her for the purpose of MUSIC, Perez. They are just showing her capablities as a machine. They wanted to address pop culture thus the performance.
I think its a Wonderful advancement in robotics.

  5. 5

she dances like a white person

  6. 6

She sings and dances with more grace, humanity and talent than Britney Spears.

  7. 7

Dang…will we ever catch up to the Asian's and their technology?! With that said, she sounds as mediocre as Ke$sha and Katy Perry!

  8. 8

    very creepy! Yet, awesome.

  9. 9

    And.. officially freaked out…..

  10. 10

this will be great in asia. over there they dream of fucking robots and cartoons. they will probably make a sex doll of her.

  11. 11

Technology…please go away. This is not cool. It's scary what the world is coming to.

  12. 12

That's amazing! Better than Lady CaCa and Shitty Perry!

  13. 13

    better than Ke$ha

  14. 14

That's pretty good considering this technology is in it's infancy!

  15. 15

pop stars are the closest thing to robots. Most cannot function without an army of songwriters, producers and stylists. they might as well be a programmable robot

  16. 16

Perez this is only the beginning. Wait untill you will be able to buy one and have one as your spouse. Women are going to be screwed.
Think older/ mid age women are getting dumped for young women.
Wait untill you are dumped for a robot, who will never age and always look young and contain anatmonically correct, life like parts. If you know what I mean.

  17. 17

Well. That's 1 minute and 39 seconds I'll NEVER get back.

  18. 18

Couldn't they give that thing normal sized hands?! I think those mitts freak me out more than anything else.

  19. 19

There are studies being conducted about the feelings of uneasiness that you get from looking at and watching robots. Look it up. It's pretty interesting. Take a break from all the fluff and learn something new.

    she has banging legs!! haha

  21. 21

Has more talent and better moves than Justin Beaver, Lady Caca and Slutty Cyrus

  22. 22

    Wow! Creepy!

  23. 23

what's frightening is in the U.S. we've replaced once soulful and talented human performers with highly produced, robot-like no talent humans. that said, better start drafting robot rights policies or things will get very ugly very soon.

  24. 24

    She is VILE!!!!
Suppose it would be funny to throw a beer at a head in a concert and watch her explode lol

  25. 25

Roboto para-para dance. Android geishas next.

  26. 26

Didn't look like a real robot. Scam.

very very creepy and scary. It begins…

  28. 28

I feel like this is where it starts. then in 15 years, the end of the world will come due to robots attacking us. Did these people not see Terminator? ;)

    29

    Love the man hands …

  30. 30

Re: JuneGordon – u truly are an idiot!@!!!! NEXT

  31. 31

WOW. Whats up with the huge man hands, they couldn't give her something a bit smaller?

  32. 32

Uh-Oh!! These "real" Pop stars better watch out for this "fake" Popstar…or should it be these "fake" Popstars should watch out for this "real" Popstar…lol

  33. 33

How the fuck is that scary? You've been watching too much Ferngully/Avatar. Technology isn't evil, it won't eat your babies, grow up.

  34. 34

You'll have no one left to write about! Every other blogpost would be about some popstars' oil change or actor's weekly wax-job (and i'm not talking brazillian)…

  35. 35

LOL… looks just like Heidi Montag dancing!

  36. 36

thats amazing technology, but that is honestly the CREEPIEST thing i have ever seen in my life. I am going to have nightmares, if i ever saw this thing in person im sure i would cry,

  37. 37

You're absolutely ridiculous for even considering this to be new or "'frightening". Have any of you been to Disney or seen any animatronics before? This is technology from the 1960's and is pre-scripted. Why anyone would consider this new is beyond me… I design AI robots for a living, and videos like this are an embarassment.

  38. 38

OMG!!! I HOPE THIS IS NOT THE FUTURE!!!! That is sooo creepy!

  39. 39

    this is so fucking creepy.

  40. 40

    Re: robotBuilder
I'm with this guy, the technology isn't new, this is just scripted and timed correctly with the dancers making it seem cool. It's not hard to create a robot in this time and age, put a dress, face and hands on it, and remotely make it dance and have facial movements to mimic sound.

  41. 41

these things won't go anywhere if no one likes them. nobody likes ugly little kid robots.

  42. 42

Holy crap. Look how big it's hands are!!

  43. 43

Haven't we learned anything from the movies that we have seen??

Stop making robots, we don't need them!!!!

  44. 44

this is absolutely horrifying. i hope this is as far as it goes

  45. 45

The entire point of watching artists perform choreographed routines while singing live is to be in awe of the fact that they can push their human limits to perform at their best on stage… I don't see the point of this. Aside from the fact that the robot is far far away from performing legitimate dance moves, even if it were to dance better than Beyonce, what would be the awe in that? I would rather appreciate an imperfect performance that shows off days and months of practice and determination rather than watch a programed humanoid do it flawlessly.

  46. 46

what the fuck is this shit?!

  47. 47

The real revolution in music isn't about some robotic blandness - it's just the opposite. Dallas is leading the way to an anti rock, anti band music that sadly the media is afraid to talk about because it's back to quality and opposed to corporate rock. You don't know music unless you know what's going on in Dallas.

  48. 48

ITS REALLY NOT THAT DIFFERENT FROM THE CONCEPT OF KIDDIE PUPPETS, LIKE SESEME STREET AND WHATNOT. THERE ARE A LOT OF FORMS OF NON-HUMAN PERFORMERS OUT THERE. THIS IS JUST A DIFFERENT AVENUE…..
