Did U get your fill of 3D Jackass this weekend? If not, it looks like you may get another chance sooner than later.
After a phenomenal $50.4 million opening weekend, Paramount is thinking about what to do with footage that didn't make it to the big screen.
Here's what Johnny Knoxville had to say about the extra footage:
“We shot two movies' worth of footage. We have so many bits that we never even turned in to Paramount because we were so swamped with ideas — funny stuff. The bits were just coming out of us left and right.”
The original plan by Paramount was to release an online follow-up to Jackass 3D, much like Jackass 2.5, which was released on the Internet three months after the theatrical release of Jackass Number Two.
Now, after the enormous success of Jackass 3D, Paramount is giving consideration to a second theatrical release. According to a source, the studio is likely to make a decision about where/when to release the follow-up with the next few days.
If they choose another theatrical release, it's likely that they'll film new footage, instead of solely relying on deleted scenes from Jackass 3D.
Would U buy another movie ticket to see more 3D Jackass in theaters?
