    She is so right. Standards of bad behaviour have escalated at an astonishing speed. Kinda makes me wonder 'what's next'? She is also right in putting some of the responsibility on the parents. A father holding a press conference is bad - almost as bad as letting a nine year old do a music video!

    I have to say I agree with her. Where are the parents these days? If I did anything like them at that age I would have been put 6 feet underground. How much further can they push the envelope of bad behavior?

    Shannon's "Media Machine" created the "Bad Shannon" image; that was the only way she was going to make it big, she had nothing else going for her.

    I was a major fan of the original 90210 - almost forgot about Shannen's former bad-girl rep. She is sooooo right. These days she wouldn't even be considered bad, just someone in need of a slight attitude adjustment…like Meagan Fox (Brian A-G/90210 connection, interesting). Paris and Lindsey are just silly, self-absorbed, fame-obsessed trainwrecks!! If they weren't famous, I doubt either would have any friends. Just sayin'.

    Hopefully Shannen is making a comeback. I liked here on 90210, as well as some TV movies.

    Shannen was a bad girl in a completely different way .. almost purist sorta deep sincere way.

    Lindsay and Paris are just spoiled brats, seeking attention in a sad pathetic way… self-depracating way …

    Shannen is a natural bad girl in her youth and had on real healthy or supra-healthy self-esteem ….. today's bad girls just don't have that (sincere self-worth) and in that sense they are worse …

    in comparison she wasn't that bad. however, she may not have done sex tape but she did do playboy - not the smartest move, but then again that is better than being a drug addict.

    She's right. And Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan are just desperate attention seekers and famewhores. Neither are famous for having any talent. They're famous because they're tabloid fixtures.

    Um she is right, and all this does is lay the foundation for future young adults to behave badly, at a more accelerated pace. We need to stop rewarding these douches for their bad behavior. I liked it when tv stars and movie stars were actually just that, and you had to have some modecum of talent to actually be in front of a camera.

    What Shannen did was nothing compared to what these girls are doing now! They're doing drugs, drinking, and having sex with whom ever to get what they need. How many times can they do it before it starts getting old! Shannen grew up. She may have needed a couple instances for her to realize that. I don't these girls now care to realize what they're doing to themselves. Lindsay's still blaming other people. Sure her parents might be the reason she's a drug addict and alcoholic, but did they make her try coke, speed, or whatever? Not that I know if. It's on her! She's the only reason she's in this mess. Paris is just a spoiled little brat who gets away with everything because she's rich! She's going to end up dead soon!

    Why do I have so much to say about this stuff? She wasn't known for being bad…she was known for being a bitch. There's not a law about being wrong…and she is just WRONG…but if there were she'd be the molecule that holds the grain of sugar together in the icing that tops the cake. And for the record, we all think the "bad girls" are sweet as pie nowadays. Lindsay? Disney princess. Britney? Disney Princess. Paris? Cute dumb blonde. They are only mean to each other…lol

    Shannen's "bad girl" reputation was from being a bully and bullying behavior, not so much the same thing that make Lindsay and Paris "bad girls". But her point is well taken that her parents never famewhored themselves had a press conference. That's really is an OH MY GOD just like she said.

    What is a 'bad girl'?
    … a woman who does what she pleases?
    … a woman who harms others?
    … a woman who speaks her mind?
    This question really depends on what one defines a 'bad girl' to be.
    One cannot be a 'famewhore' unless there is a public that needs to have its daily dose of gossip.
    I think people should just chill out and stop judging the behaviour of people who they do not know. Do not think you know someone or what motivates them by what one reads in silly rag magazines or websites. It's okay to laugh at gossip, but to become so prudish in your judgements just makes me think that most people truly are sub-intelligent. Get a grip of your own life before you start poking your noses in someone else's life.

    Everyone talks as if we are all best friends and know everything about today's "Bad girls"… Bottom line we only know wha the papparrazzi and rag mags and internet tell us… Remember we never had access to track every single action of every single star in Shannon's day or before then… There have always been bad girls and boys in Hollywood, the difference is now we live in a world that has media thrown at us in every mode and direction so even if someone isn't a bad girl or boy it can be shown in that manner… Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton and any other crappy celeb thatthrives on bad publicity is only who they are because people let them be that rich overindulgent trash and as we see from other so called "celebs"; snooki, or Jon and Kate or anyone else that is actually not a celeb but famous because they force us to hear and see them by reality tv… I am sure if we had the internet from day one in Hollywood there would've been many more sad examples of celeb bad kid stories…

    Has LL ever been fired from not just one but TWO jobs? (by the same boss no less) Funny she mentions having been working for 29 years, since her unprofessional behavior is what cost her both jobs. & where is her career now? The only person who hired her after 9021Show was it's creator & he fired her a second time. What's she done since? What career does she have?
