You are such a piece of shit for milking the hell out of the very serious issue of these kids killing themselves. You've turned it into your personal movement for gays and celebrities. God, you're such an ass Mario. I hope the guilt starts settling in….if my kid killed themselves from true bullying, I'd find you seriously offensive and pray for your painful death.

I'm very confused. First you post that this song is about John Mayer and post lyrics that aren't even in the song… and now you say it's about bullying?? Make up your mind!!!

Whoever told her she couldn't sing wasn't being mean, they were being honest. Since when is honesty a bad thing…?

Re: alwaysloveeeeeeeeeeee – They're different songs - The John Mayer one is called 'Dear John' - this is another new track from the album :)

Re: Jesus Jose – What's the problem?

  8. 8

wel… at least its not about one of her 1,000,000 boyfriends.

  9. 9

Re: alwaysloveeeeeeeeeeee – The one about John mayer is called "Dear John". This song is called "Mean" and is about someone who bullies.

    Love it you go girl!

I love this song. The sound is great.
It almost perfectly describes my own high school situation. I still see this same girl and even now just being in the same room as her makes me feel awful.

I don't like taylor swift but I am personally very happy about all the people making the bullying thing a big deal. It is a big deal. Im not an overly sensitive person, but kids being really really cruel to one another is wrong. If two guys get in a brawl, fine. But when some one is being "bullied" day after day its just NOT OK. On the plus side this will be Taylor's fist song that doesn't involve whimpering about some guy!!!!

Complete rip-off of Dudley Do-Right's Snidely Whiplash from the Adventures of Rocky and Bulwinkle! I guess Taylor Slow is hopping aboard the copycat train conducted by Lady Gaga.

She makes 45 mil a year. Can't she just buy people to compliment her all day? Or put a nice down payment on a good boyfriend?

  16. 16

    catcy tune. Love it!

Can Anyone TELL me WHY PEREZ pushes Taylor Swift? Does her comapny pay him? WE all know this was posted in her diary WAY before the bullying issue came to light and this is an oppurtunity to put out a new single. But why is he so behins s/one who can not sing. Wear purple tomorrow in observance of tolerance! hugs!

an anyi-bullying song from taylor swift? priceless…

this song is actually about the critics saying stuff about taylor. anyone notice how extra country this song is? its because so many critics say taylor isnt country anymore so she went back to her root sfor this song. but it fits the whole anti-bullying thing thats going on lately.

  20. 20

Gee, seems kind of hypocritical. You are gung ho anti bullying yet you bully celebs on this blog with mean immature comments and drawings. Reporting gossip is one thing, attacking people for their looks etc. is not. You are a hypocrite.

  21. 21

Sweet Song! She finally went back to country! (:

  22. 22

Love it! I'm almost 50 years old and I love Taylor Swift! Sometimes i think that she's not the best singer, but I love the lyrics and the melodies to her msic. It always wakes me up in the morning and makes me happy on the way to work.

She needs to go back to country and do more. She sounds so much better doing country than pop.

  24. 24

the only thing i like about this is that picture

  25. 25

Perez Brother you said you changed I hope you have but when she wrote this song you were bullying a child of 17 (Miley) calling her slutty. Calling out bruce willis kid as patato head. samantha r and jenn a as MAN…this song must have hit close to home.

  26. 26

    Re: alwaysloveeeeeeeeeeee

He was talking about Dear John. Not Mean…

  27. 27

    Re: Jesus Jose

All Perez is trying to do is make a difference in the world. You are the piece of shit for insulting him as he is becoming a nicer person.

  28. 28

    Re: blocparty1 – that's lovely.

  29. 29

Luv the song. Kudos to her…and the words are so true…

  30. 30

As a middle school teacher, I see the hurt caused by bullying. I pray that more teachers and administrators put more serious consequences in place for bullying. Parents, teach your kids to be compassionate and lead by example!! Media…stop glorifying rude behavior!! We are all responsible!!!!

  31. 31

    this actually sound Country

  32. 32

I love the picture..she is soo funny and even when her voice is not so strong.. is unique

    Re: Yea_Isaidit
The Best Day - Her Mom & Being bullied
Tied Together With A Smile - Her friend with an eating disorder
Change - Her record label, big machine records
Breathe - Falling out with a friend
A Place In This World - Growing up
Fifteen - Freshman year in high school

    So your statement is false.

Re: april0055 – "Junior high was actually sort of hard because I got dumped by this group of popular girls," the singer-songwriter, 19, tells Teen Vogue for its March issue, on sale Feb. 3.

"They didn't think I was cool or pretty enough, so they stopped talking to me."

Another reason she was singled out? "The kids at school thought it was weird that I liked country [music]," she says. "They'd make fun of me."

She was bullied so, I think it is ok she writes a song so……..

  35. 35

LOL Perez….did you ever realize that this song could be about YOU?!! It's about bullying, and she says that it's directed at a "male journalist." That's you in a nutshell (though I use the term "journalist" VERY loosely ;) ) Some food for thought for you, bb!
