A Rare Collection Of Elvis Records Goes Up For Sale

Some young boys like to collect baseball cards, rocks, Pokemon…

You don't hear about too many boys who like to collect Elvis Presley albums, especially when they were so young when The King had passed.

Regardless, a die hard fan named Steve Lacey has collected over 12,000 mint condition vinyl records in his lifetime and starting today, those albums go on sale. Steve explains:

"It began when I was 11 and I heard he (Presley) had died. I got a paper round and spent everything on the collection. I worked five nights a week in a chippie (fast food joint) to buy more. Then I had to decide whether I wanted a mortgage or more Elvis records. I kept buying records."

The collection is expected to fetch as much as $375,000!

Wowza! That will help you get a mortgage!

Wonder why he is parting with such a treasure?!

Re: ParisIsBurning – OMG shut the fuck up. It sounds like an elvis fan is upset Michael made more than elvis this year. Michael was not a child molester. Im so glad the guys father killed himself for distorying michaels career. The boy has already admitted that michael never touched him get over it. besides did'nt elvis sleep with wife when she was 15 or 16?

Due to places like ebay what once was a valuable collection is not so much anymore.
And to Kylielover considering Elvis died 33 years ago and MJ 16 mos. ago I wouldnt be so fast to gloat dear. MJ had a movie that exploited his last days come out, Elvis did not yet still managed to pull in 60 mil. 3 decades later.
I dont think MJ will have that clout since he's got all sorts of stigmas attached to him and that crazy family of his.
