It's officially happening!

Take That announced earlier today that they will be performing together - for the first time as a complete group in 16 YEARS - in a summer stadium tour, starting in May!

Progress Live 2011 will include 14 dates around the UK and Europe, and is described as a "feast for the imagination, charting the evolution and progress of Take That and Robbie Williams through their extraordinary 20-year history." Williams will also be performing his own material from his solo career.

Gary Barlow says:

"Take That are going back on tour. We've got a little bit of a theme but we're not going to give that away now. It will be a big production show. It's not going to be a stripped-back acoustic set. We're looking forward to coming up with big ideas for it to be a spectacular again."

Williams continues:

"I'm going to be doing a bit. The lads are going to be doing a bit. And we're all going to be doing a bit. I'm really looking forward to it. When I left I didn't think I would ever say I'm really looking forward to dancing and rehearsing. I'm looking forward to it. Yes I will be dancing of sorts. I think all our arses are due to come out again. The first time around there was a lot of power struggles with everybody. This time there just isn't."

Jason Orange concluded:

"We had a lot of fun in the early years…and a great laugh but it wasn't very honest really. We were so guided, so manufactured. Now it feels a lot more real."

Absolutely AMAZING! We love that they genuinely seem to have put the past in the past and are focused on not only putting on a FANTASTIC show, but enjoying the group dynamic and having fun again!

We cannot WAIT!

  2. 2

There is a reason that it has been 16 years…. the years should continue to accumulate.

  3. 3

could not possibly care less, too much info on them in the past few days

  4. 4

Okay. Seriously, you need to put all the British bull shit on some other fucking blog cause I'm SOOO sick of hearing about these irrelevant fucks! No one gives a shit about These assholes, or Girls aloud, or any other pop band with a UK ONLY CAREER!

    fuck.

  5. 5

i was really hoping for some US dates! maybe they'll be announced at a later date?

  6. 6

    Losers.

Re: Em….. – While these groups you mention aren't to my taste, they're popular everywhere BUT the US, not only in the UK.

  7. 7

I so do not care about these guys. Except for Robbie Williams' "Millennium" they really were not known in my area. The song "Back to Good" is still painful to hear and was way over hyped.
    ______
P.S Perez - you are NOT British…stop copying Madge.

Can't tell you who any of these guys are or any of their songs. If they're good maybe they'll do good in the US.

Re: Laura1165 – Well, i understand if u haven't heard of Take That, because they aren't as massive as Robbie Williams…. but its such a shame USA hasnt heard about Robbie…. he is just a entertainer and nr 1 popstar anywhere except USA.

Take a look of this: youtube.com/watch?v=Xdi706OHJps (even if you dont like, u should know this name in music industry :)

Ah I love them! Hope I can go to England to see a show.

    Ignorant American well well well

  13. 13

Perez has probably just as much followers in the UK as the US so posts about Girls Aloud, Xfactor and Take That are relevant so shut up!! We have to read shitty posts about the housewifes of bla bla bla and the dancing with the stars shite all the time!!

  14. 14

Robbie looks awful- like he is 60 years old

Love that Perez is knowledgable about other markets (U.K, Europe) and can identify what is important there - hence the fact his website is GLOBAL and not American-centric. TT sold 1 million tickets for their tours in the UK next summer in one day. In a country of 60 million that's a pretty big fucking deal! The demand for tickets was twice of that for Michael Jackson tickets. They may not be known in the U.S but that's not the be all and end all!

If you don't know who they are I suggest you you tube "Take That Circus Tour". However, since they've been in the UK in one form or another since 1991 then they're pretty imbedded in our culture.

Thanks again Perez for highlighting what is important over the world. Fearne's right - you work damn hard and know what's important for your global fans.

    Much love mi chico latino!

    Kirsty, Edinburgh, Scotland, UK.

The USA needs to get over themselves, Take That are one of the most popular groups in the world and had the fastest selling tour ever - even faster than Michael Jackson. Just because you guys haven't heard of them doesn't mean people don't care about them.
