You'll NEVER Believe What The Title Of Mission: Impossible IV Is!

| Filed under: Icky Icky PooFilm FlickersTom Cruise

Seriously? What on EARTH are they thinking?

Tom Cruise revealed today that instead of keeping the title for his latest flick Mission: Impossible IV, which we think works just fine, the new installment in the spy franchise has been re-coined Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol!

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol?!

What is this, a reality show on TLC?!

Sounds to us like they've just given up completely on trying to take this one remotely seriously!

Which is fine by us, because let's be real - nobody else is!

Goodness not only does it seem like it might be unwatchable, but the title makes it sound like it jumped the shark without even seeing it.

No one is gonna watch for the simple fact that TOM CRUISE is in it..
No ONE likes him anymore, who he is as a person is now known to the world and honestly NO ONE likes him…
    Everyone thinks he's a freak….

I heard DrLaura said that Tom Cruise is gay. Is it really true?

You must be under the impression that they are using the term "Ghost" as in spooky spirit. The term "ghost" in this case likely means "something there that you can't see". In other words a very secret protocol that is not written down or openly acknowledged but is nontheless understood and followed covertly.

I don't see your problem with the title unless you just have a limited vocabulary.

Ghost is a term used for spy…..mainly one undercover. In the UK they are called spooks. They had a show called sppoks which was called MI5 in the US.

I would say that it has to do with extraordinary rendition

Obviously it's not literally going to be about a ghost Perez. You are so silly sometimes.

I'll go see it, I have liked the M.I. Series to this point. I mean it isn't as good as the Bond, or the Bourne movies but it is still entertaining. I don't give a shit that he is a Scientologist just as long as I leave the theater feeling like I got my money's worth, why should I care what he believes in his personal life.

    Looking forward to it!
Perez get over your Tom Cruise grudge!

Sounds like the title to a Scooby Doo cartoon. Which would actually be more entertaining then anything with TC in it. Who is gonna waste there money watching him? NOT ME!

LOL Perez…"what is a show on TLC" lol

    Can't wait - love Tom!

  17. 17

you're so ignorant, ghost does not mean spooky in this context

  18. 18

Ridiculous title. There are already movies called "Ghost" and "Protocol". And of course there's a movie called "Mission: Impossible." So it's just three movie titles strung together. Maybe they'll call the next one "Mission Impossible: Jaws: Ben-Hur."

That's better than "The Dark Knight Rises"

I think they NEEDED to do SOMETHING to bring up the box office as much as they could for this dying franchise Perez…and the title jolt might just do it. Already I'm curious—how do ghosts get mannerly?

Perez, when the main media will only talk about bad corporate movies, and not about the art revolution and the non corporate movies coming out of Dallas, you are going to have to put up with generic manufactured films like this. The audience has to go beyond the mainstream to get to good films. The media won't.
